Sorry to see that it is retired. Was the best that I have had in over 70 years.

Is much better then any Budwiser, but I am disapointed that Boston Beer Company has gone to that level of dull American beers.

Had this beer on 12/29/1997. It has a golden color with a little bit of a haze to it. The aroma is light and sweet. Carbonation is very high at first but slows down quickly. The taste of this beer is far better than any other light beer I’ve had. It starts off with a crisp body, similar to a good bodied American premium, and goes down refreshingly smooth. The finish is more like a Pale Ale than a Light beer, with the flavor of hops coming though and a mild bitterness on the tale end. This is a great beer and one of the best light beers ever made.

Its Sam Adams with a lighter nose and palate. Pretty tasty, a bit fizzy but as far as light beers go, good stuff.

I preferred this Lager over the Sam Adams Light which is currently available. I wish they brought back the Lightship lager. It had more taste and originality that sees to be missing in the new Light.

This stuff is no longer available but if memory serves me right it was an amber beer that smelled and tasted very simular to S.A's Boston Lager, but packed less of a punch. It was far better than their current low-cal offering; Sam Adam's Light

Quite a nice light beer. The bottle label could use some work, but in the glass this beer has a beautiful pale amber color. The head retention was week, only lasting a few minutes. The initial taste is that of most light beers (you know it is a light beer), that is quickly followed by a nutty maltiness. The beer finishes quite dry with a residual bitterness thats lasts for a while. I think most ’light’ beer drinkers may find the bitterness a bit much, but hey, thats their problem.

A full-bodied light beer. (I know that’s not right somehow) Malty, sweetish taste, clear head which quickly dissapates. A favorite in years past for making a different style of Black and Tans with (The Black being Mackeson’s)

From old tasting notes. Amber gold color. Nice foamy white head. Subtle floral hop aroma. Tangy malt flavor with light hops. Smooth an balanced. Decent flavor for a light beer.

Not bad on a summer day. I forgoit I had one of these stored away in the back for the fridge and it really worked out well. Light and crisp!
