Bottle. Brewmasters collection. Pours a dark brown color with a medium light tan head. The aroma was roasted malt with hints of coffee. The taste was watery malt but still a good brew. bhensonb (15976) - Woodland, California, USA - AUG 20, 2007
12 oz. bottle. Caramel malt aroma with hints of fruity ester? Dark reddish amber color with a white head that filmed and ringed. Thin bodied. Mild carbonation. Bread, caramel and nut. Very little bitter follows. Thin enough to be thirst quenching. The finish is mild malt, with a very slight touch of bitter. It’s really quite refreshing in the late hours. Probably not in the heat of a California summer day. It’s going extremely well with smoked herring. Ratman197 (15628) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - APR 4, 2006

Bottle. Clear brown color with a medium beige head. Malty aroma with toast, nuts, hints of chocolate and a touch of hops. Sweetish flavor of malt, caramel and nuts with some later notes of hops. Medium-bodied, but a bit watery. Quite enjoyable. Tmoney99 (15130) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 11, 2007
Bottle from Party Source. Poured a clear dark brown color with a moderate frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Medium toasted nutty malty aroma. Medium body. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. I would recommend this to a freind as the first choice of domestic production brews.
