Draft… Pours very dark with flashes of crimson when help up to light and a small, creamy, mushroom-colored head. Great retention. Medium to full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lazy carbonation. Smells and tastes like the chocolate-covered maraschino cherry included in almost all boxes of assorted chocolates. Totally artificial. Not quite cloying, but working on it. Bittersweet, chocolate/cherry finish. Not bad at all, just too artificial for me. hopdog (12816) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 26, 2011
On tap at Capone’s. Poured a dark brown with a small sized off white head. Chocolate, cherries, some earthiness, and vanilla. On the sweeter side. keithmoon (14) - Kentucky, USA - DEC 24, 2011
Very smooth and drinkable...Slight hint of cherry with chocolate overtones...The color is dark and opaque with very little light through the glass when held up...Basically desert in a glass. I love it !!! I wish they had this in bottles instead of just draft so I could buy em up. blipp (9502) - La Mesa, California, USA - DEC 23, 2011
Draft. Pours near black with a beige head. Sweet cherry candy aroma with light chocolate. The flavor is like one of those fake cherry filled chocolates. Completely a gimmick beer. I recognize that this isn’t technically a "good beer", but damn it if I didn’t really like it for some reason. Maybe I was just in the holiday spirit, but it really rubbed me the right way. phaleslu (10462) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 23, 2011
Draft at Teller’s, served in a pint glass. Pours a cloudy brown with a small beige head that vanishes by the midway point. Aroma of cherry, chocolate, nuts, earth, and toasted sugar. Initial flavor of cherry, with a muddled chocolate, earth, and metallic middle, and a surprisingly nice sweet toasty malt finish. Over time it warms into a chocolate covered cherry flavor, more even. Light-medium bodied, with modest carbonation and a gritty, sweet, initially metallic mouthfeel. Odd.

dark appearance, oily pour, drank from pint cup, cherry and chocolate notes blend well together, good compliment, neither one overpowers the other Strykzone (7489) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - DEC 18, 2011
Draft at global brew. Very dark and clear with some red. A nice one finger tan head. Both the aroma and flavor chocolate first and then cherries. It is uncomplicated but nice. A creamy rich feel. This is one of those beers that would make a nice gateway into craft. ross (2146) - weddington, North Carolina, USA - DEC 13, 2011
On tap at Grapevine. Pours out a brownish red color with a tan head on it. Smell is mostly cherry with a little bit of chocolate in the finish. Taste is sweet - too sweet - with a load of cherries and chocolate mixed together. No hop / alcohol noted. Interesting concept, but too sweet for my tastes. Smells and looks awesome. Drinks.....not so much. jtclockwork (16857) - , New Jersey, USA - DEC 12, 2011
Draft. Pours black with light brown head. Nose/taste of cherry cordial, cheap cocktail cherries and light cocoa. Medium body. yackery (168) - California, USA - DEC 7, 2011
Pint draught. After a nice display, the head dissolves to thin brown sand covering most of the center with a drift ring around the glass leaving some frosty lacing over a dark red body some shades lighter than opaque. Aroma is cherry bomb with some apple and vanilla chocolate notes. Taste delivers strong chocolate and cherry cough syrup. Taste is masked by the aroma, but that’s all good. But the taste is sweet. Palate is creamy and full. Overall enjoyable as a cherry soda and minus points for slight cloyishness.
