Bottle from Jungle Jims from notes. Pours a hazy brown color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, caramel, mildly tart cherry, light nutty character, chocolate, I did get the chocolate covered cherry more as it warmed, interesting enough. On tap @ Freakin Frog, apparently the only keg in the state of Nevada. Very dark brown, medium light brown head. Aroma and flavour are dark chocolate covered cherries. Fairly lighting the body but not short on flavour. Balanced by a roasty dry bitterness in the finish. Really tasty, provided you like chocolate covered cherries. phaleslu (10462) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 23, 2011
Draft at Teller’s, served in a pint glass. Pours a cloudy brown with a small beige head that vanishes by the midway point. Aroma of cherry, chocolate, nuts, earth, and toasted sugar. Initial flavor of cherry, with a muddled chocolate, earth, and metallic middle, and a surprisingly nice sweet toasty malt finish. Over time it warms into a chocolate covered cherry flavor, more even. Light-medium bodied, with modest carbonation and a gritty, sweet, initially metallic mouthfeel. Odd. blipp (9502) - La Mesa, California, USA - DEC 23, 2011
Draft. Pours near black with a beige head. Sweet cherry candy aroma with light chocolate. The flavor is like one of those fake cherry filled chocolates. Completely a gimmick beer. I recognize that this isn’t technically a "good beer", but damn it if I didn’t really like it for some reason. Maybe I was just in the holiday spirit, but it really rubbed me the right way. drowland (8888) - Georgia, USA - NOV 11, 2013
11/11/13. Happy Veterans Day and Happy Birthday, Chris! Initiating turbo boosters early today. Basically our weekend. Let’s DO THIS! 12oz bottle from the new Winter Mix Pack... stoked for 2 new ticks. The chocolate bock was always solid back in the day, so figured I’d give this one a go. Brown pour, more or less, with some reddish hues, all under a nice khaki head that fades to a film and a ring and laces okay. Big cherry aroma, distinctly fruity, seems like a flavoring in a way because it reminds me of cherry candy as opposed to cherries themselves. There also some dark chocolate and maltiness. Less cherry in the flavor, but still there for sure, again candy-like in a way, and slightly tart. The malt and chocolate shines through more in the flavor, rich, dark chocolate, bready, creamy, and smooth. Tasty enough.

Bottle that a friend was happy to offload on to me. Near black with no head and plenty of fizz. Sweet and quite heavy with plenty of black cherry and milk chocolate, before a relatively gentle finish. Not a session beer by any means, but ok as a one-off. quiet down dribble lip!
12oz bottle. Aroma is notes of sweet cherries in syrup, with some light chocolate notes. Flavor was like a cherry cordial, bittersweet chocolate notes, some milk chocolate character. It’s what it says it is. PorterPounder (8183) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - DEC 6, 2013
Trade with Aurelius - thanks! Dark brown pour, thin khaki colored head. Aroma of chocolate covered cherries, a hint of potting soil. Flavor is sweet with some nice cherry accents, some milk chocolate goodness, a touch of red licorice in the back end. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Enjoyable in small doses. Could get cloying in large doses. JaBier (8126) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - DEC 28, 2011
Growler shared by a friend. Pours a clear reddish brown color with a medium beige head. Aroma of cherry, chocolate and a bit of an estery note. Chocolate malty flavor with a sweet maraschino cherry blast before a roasty and nutty finish.
