12 oz bottle served in a Belgian snifter. Pours very dark but clear with no sediment in the bottle. The tan head is thin and short-lived.
Aroma: chocolate covered cherries, and not Godiva quality, with a faint bready malt base.
Flavor: Thankfully, this is not nearly as sweet or candy-like as the smell suggests. Still, lightly sweet with prominent cherry flavor that eventually fades to let the chocolate come thru in the aftertaste.
Feel: medium body with medium-light carbonation.

Sampled on 12/31/2014. This fruit beer pours a dark brown/black color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head, with decent lacing and good retention. The aroma is fruity, bready and sweet, hints of cherry, chocolate, and dark fruit. A medium bodied fruit/bock beer. The malts are dark fruity, bready and sweet. The hops are herbal and earthy. Decent carbonation. Nice balance of fruit, chocolate and malts. A touch sweet but very drinkable. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with some cherry. hotstuff (5278) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAR 14, 2015
Rated on 10-28-2013 (Bottle from Krogers Marketplace-Fort Wayne, IN) This beer’s appearance is a large tan head that mostly diminishes, transparent ruby body, fast rising carbonation observed, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is dark fruits and in your face cherries. The flavor is sweet, very cherry, chocolate, mildly tart, and dark fruits. The mouthfeel is smooth, watery and thin. This beer is light-medium bodied. The cherries are up close and personal which is a turn off for me. It is somewhat of a cloying beer and too artificial tasting. Draft at abraxas. Happy hour. Dark brown, scant head. Aroma has a tangy tartness and no depth. The flavors are fruit tart, like a pop tart filling, and it almost tastes like a brown ale gone sour and the mistake is covered up for my calling it cherry. As it warms some mild nestle qwik type cocoa powder comes out.But anyway, it’s drinkable...

Pours a muddy brown color. Aromas of cherries, chocolate, and a hint of vanilla. Flavor is a subdued cherry taste, not a big as I expected. Finishes like a cherry tootsie roll pop. Surreal taste, quite remarkable. Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel.

Bottle. The look is cola, a beige colored head, and dark. The smell is Dr. Pepper, cherry, fruits, cocoa, cola, and vanilla. The taste is more cocoa, malt, fruit, and interesting. kidmartinek (5007) - austin, Texas, USA - DEC 26, 2013
Dark brown color. Decent head. Fresh smashed cherry aroma. Chocolate taste. Medium thick body. Very true. Cavie (4874) - Arlington, Texas, USA - DEC 30, 2013
Bottle. Pours a dark reddish color with rosy highlights. Beige head. Aroma is lots of cherry notes, and some roasted malts. Flavor is also lots of cherry mixed with some sweeter chocolatey notes. Wow this is actually pretty good. Well balanced.

12 oz bottle. Deep ruby brown with an average sized cream colored head. Aroma is of maraschino cherries, chocolate ice cream, and cranberry sauce. Taste is of chocolate, sweet cherries, roasted malts, and caramel. thegreenrooster (4626) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - NOV 2, 2013
Pour is an almost black with a large tan head. Aroma is cherry and maybe a bit of chocolate. Flavor is actually more of the chocolate with a minor cherry. Kinda like a cherry cordial. Not much different than the chocolate bock but with a little cherry flavoring added.
