COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This special release is brewed just for the holidays. For a new approach to a classic favorite, we added cherries to our traditional Chocolate Bock for a sweet, slightly tart note. Aged on a bed of dark cocoa nibs, the malty, chocolaty, and dark fruit flavors create a rich, complex beer perfect for winter. Cheers!

26 dec 2013, bottle. Dark burgundy/brown. Nose is canned maraschino cherries. Thin body and mildly fizzy. Cherries are tamed by toasted grain and almost a ginger ale flavor no guess it is nice enough. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

tap (jan 6, 2012) - Pours very dark amber with a small head. The aroma is really dominated by the cherries. It tastes sweet with cherries at the forefront then the chocolate. The sweetness carries into the finish. This medium bodied brew is like drinking a chocolate covered cherry. It’s sweet but not cloying. Good.

Bottle from the 12 pack from Market Basket Pours a deep dark brown with faint garnet highlights at the edges and a smallish off white head that quickly dissipates. Aromas of cherry overwhelm my olfactory system. Tart sweet medicinal cough drop conjuring cherry aromas. Everything I hate about Sam Adams cherry wheat unfortunately made it into this beer. Light chocolate and burnt sugars deep underneath, I think. The flavor is sweet medicinal cherry with bits of Hershey’s syrup drizzled on top. Hints of dark sugary flavors are there but little else. Medium body with a sweet sticky syrupy mouthfeel and a light level of carbonation. I choked down the last of this bottle, but on the bright side my cough cleared up. Now to pawn the remaining bottle off on some unsuspecting Christmas guest.

Bottle. The smell is one of the worst things I have ever put near my nose, and I used to work with some nasty shit in a chemistry lab. The smell is sickeningly sweet and SUPER cherry, like cough syrup. And not good cough syrup. The chocolate comes through underneath in the taste, but the cherries are the first thing you get. Not really a fan of this one. Oy.

Tap @ TacoMac, John’s Creek. 11oz pour. Black, thin tan head, legs. Tastes like black cherry cola with a hint of burnt malt. Wild cherry lifesaver smell. An ok session.

This was in the Christmas 12 pk I got from Dan. Dark brown pour, thin tan colored head. Aroma of chocolate and cherries. Flavor is sweet with some nice cherry accents and some milk chocolate goodness. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Enjoyable in small doses.

12 oz bottle from a sampler pack. Nose is cherry, chocolate, and some light background wheat and banana. Hazy dark brown with a small cinnamon head. Flavor is sweet, chocolate, cherry, and a small, lightly tart/funky note.

Very good beer. NIce to drink, smell and look to. Cherry smalls and creamy unflitered features all the time.

On draft at Dan's. Pours a dark rubyish brown with no head pen lace to speak of. Looks like a flat soda. The aroma is magical. There is such a wonderful complexity of chocolate, roastyness, and a dominance of cherry. The smell is comparable to a cherry cordial. Amazing. The flavor isn't as good. There is an awkward struggle between the chocolate, cherry and the sweet bock nature of the beer. The mouth feel is good, but the awkwardness in the flavor doesn't help. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Stagshead. Pours reddish brown with nice head and nose of chocolate covered cherries. Tastes just like a cherry coke not all that beery. U also get espresso, light leather, and some malt. If I was back in kindergarten this may be my favorite beer.
