Brown pour with tan head. Aroma is chocolate covered cherries. A bit of dates followed by the cherries with a touch of funk. Medium body with good carbonation. Pretty good Luvystypotables (2099) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - DEC 29, 2013
Wonderful aroma of cherries, rich dark colour no head. Taste of chocolate covered cherries, sweet palate with a hint of cherries. BREWMUSKCLES (2759) - New Jersey, USA - DEC 30, 2013
a nice cherry flavor, not deep, and not too sweet. fresh and ripe bright cherry flavor with a good chocolate flavor that invades and pushes out the good cherry flavor. i don’t like chocolate cherry anything but this was pretty good. some bock in there but hey this is a nice holiday brew. bit of malt in there. fuller smooth body and the beer has good seperation between cherry and chocolate flavors. fun beer! Bottle. Pours a dark reddish color with rosy highlights. Beige head. Aroma is lots of cherry notes, and some roasted malts. Flavor is also lots of cherry mixed with some sweeter chocolatey notes. Wow this is actually pretty good. Well balanced.

Pours a dark brown - held up to the light there is a reddish hue, like a Dr Pepper. Nose is a cherry explosion...I liked it, but was worried this would taste artificial and overly sweet like the Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. That wasn't the case...yes, the cherry taste is strongly present, but it is nicely balanced by the chocolate and roasted malt. A good dessert beer.

Samuel Adams Cherry Chocolate Bock is a unique brew that is better left to dessert sharing with a friend. Nice cherry aroma rising from a dark pour with a nice head. Taste is like those chocolate-covered cherry candies -- very sweet, and it hangs on the palate a little too long. Cherry Chocolate is ok for an occasional treat or change of pace. closey22 (2126) - Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, USA - JUN 9, 2011
Subtle. Nice blend of the choc. & cherry Aroma is weak and metallic, but the fllava is nice, although Mott like a true bock. It is a bit watery for a bock. Try it, it’s not bad at all. Cornboy (424) - Eastampton, New Jersey, USA - NOV 25, 2011
On tap at my house. Bittersweet chocolate on the nose. Very malt forward slight roast. Cherry soda/subtle dr pepper tastes. Really well made. Nothing overly pronounced. Easy to drink multiples yackery (168) - California, USA - DEC 7, 2011
Pint draught. After a nice display, the head dissolves to thin brown sand covering most of the center with a drift ring around the glass leaving some frosty lacing over a dark red body some shades lighter than opaque. Aroma is cherry bomb with some apple and vanilla chocolate notes. Taste delivers strong chocolate and cherry cough syrup. Taste is masked by the aroma, but that’s all good. But the taste is sweet. Palate is creamy and full. Overall enjoyable as a cherry soda and minus points for slight cloyishness. boxofrane (2559) - Spring City, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 18, 2013
Draft at liberty union bar and grille. Pours clear black with minimum head. The aroma Is sweet cherry, light chocolate, overall very sweet. The taste is medium cherry, light chocolate. Pretty much nailed the title.
