Pouring at the Saturday sessions of EBF. Pours a hazed brown to black with a thin beige head. Smells just like a cherry cordial from the drugstore, big cherry and chocolate, and a lot of sweetness. Medium bodied, creamy chocolate and toast. Light cherry. Nice and sweet, caramel and coffee, chewy, long smooth caramel and roast. Shag (3000) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - JAN 7, 2012
A black appearance with a small beige head. Faint aromas of chocolate and cherries. The flavor is rather sweet with some chocolate, cherries, and spices. The finish is somewhat sour but mostly sweet. Overall this beer is pretty good. jlieber17 (201) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 9, 2012
Tap @ True North. Dark pour with small brown head. Aroma is cherry with some chocolate. Flavor is similar, cherry is maybe slightly syrupy. Quite creamy; easy drinker. DuffMan (10424) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 23, 2012
On tap @ Freakin Frog, apparently the only keg in the state of Nevada. Very dark brown, medium light brown head. Aroma and flavour are dark chocolate covered cherries. Fairly lighting the body but not short on flavour. Balanced by a roasty dry bitterness in the finish. Really tasty, provided you like chocolate covered cherries. On draft at 5 points in Athens. Very Nice dark clear brown pour with not much ring of head. Nice tart cherry and light cocoa roast. Not sweet as much as I thought it would be, but in a good way. Not fake or syrup. I’d drink this again

tap (jan 6, 2012) - Pours very dark amber with a small head. The aroma is really dominated by the cherries. It tastes sweet with cherries at the forefront then the chocolate. The sweetness carries into the finish. This medium bodied brew is like drinking a chocolate covered cherry. It’s sweet but not cloying. Good. mike67 (1197) - , New Jersey, USA - NOV 27, 2013
12 OZ bottle from a variety pack. Pours dark brown with foamy, long lasting, beige head and nice lacing. Aroma is of cherries; chocolate toasted malt, cacao and hint of spices. Body full and smooth. Taste is of cherries, toasted malt, cacao and hint of hops. Finish is long and sweet. Good desert brew. Trev (2023) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - DEC 5, 2013
Dark cola brown pour with a quick medium beige head.
Strong cherry and chocolate aromas as expected. Some coffee as well.
Lighter bodied than anticipated, chocolate, fruit not as dominant as aroma suggests. Roasted malt, cocoa. kidobutai (686) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - DEC 6, 2013
Nice dark rich color, small head. Unmistakable aroma, there’s boo question what you will be tasting. A bit too sweet which makes the cherry linger longer than it should. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 9, 2013
Bottled. Poured clear, deep reddish-brown with a creamy beige head. The aroma picked up sweeter cherries and cocoa over darker chocolates and a little molasses.. really smelled like chocolate-covered cherries. The flavor found sweeter cocoa and cherries at the core with dry, toasted chocolates and lightly-tart cherry skins around.. finished with more chocolate-covered cherries. Medium-bodied with creamy-ish carbonation on the palate.. sweeter than I wanted, but it felt good.
