Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

I had 3 of these last night. I thought it was great. A little thin but loved the cherry flavor. I will buy again.

this is a very different but good beer. very strong cherry flavor, but still a smooth taste.

Prostman (1077) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 5, 2002
This was interesting because it tasted like someone mixed black cherry soda with beer. Not too harsh but not too complicated.

Cherry nose and taste, but it is just too sweet and artificial. Reminds me of Kool-Aid. Mr Koch, this isn’t very good.

Sweet cherry also light hops nose. Orange red color with a little layer of a head. Spicy, alos hoppy with notes of cherries. Dry finish.

this wheat beer was extremely cherry flavored. So cherry flavored that it made me almost sick...it tastes like a malt beverage and shouldn’t really be considered a beer.

UPDATED: APR 29, 2012 Marachino cherry aroma. Not bad, but sure doesn’t go well with most food. lightly sweet cherry overtone throughout. Wheat character is dialed way back. Pours with a slight haze and a small white head devoid of lacing.
