COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

this wheat beer was extremely cherry flavored. So cherry flavored that it made me almost sick...it tastes like a malt beverage and shouldnt really be considered a beer.

UPDATED: APR 29, 2012 Marachino cherry aroma. Not bad, but sure doesnt go well with most food. lightly sweet cherry overtone throughout. Wheat character is dialed way back. Pours with a slight haze and a small white head devoid of lacing.

Kind of disappointing actually - faint cherries can be found through the malt. Farily sweet but not charateristic of a wheat beer. Nice thick head and amber color. Just didnt live up to my expectations.

Smells good, looks good, tastes good at first sip. By the time I finished a glass, the cherry flavor was un-noticeable. If you want cherry, get a lambic...

A very god Wheat brew. A creamy head and a hint of cherry makes this another fine brew from Sam adams

This stuff is why some beer geeks are turned off by fruit beers. Sickly sweet aroma, and a cloying aftertaste that makes you go Gaack. The wheat base seems too weak to carry the cherry syrup or whatever they use to make it.

Pours hazy copper with large off-white head. Cherry syrup aroma dominates any other aromatics. Reminiscent of cherry cough syrup, cherry coke, or the cherry syrup used in milkshakes. Smooth almost creamy mouthfeel. Surprisingly mild flavor in all respects: tinge of cherry syrup, mild clean malt, and lingering lightly sweet cherryish finish.
