Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

I don't know what these people are talking about. This beer is great. If you like Cherries, and you like berr than you will like this. It has a definately strong cherry taste, and a wonderful aroma. If you don't like fruity beers than avoid this because cherry is its defining characteristic. I thought the flavor was great, and it is one of the best smelling beers I have ever sniffed.

Not bad at all. Was expecting something disgusting. Goes well with the Florida humidity and food as well. Not a stellar beer but a definite winner in the session beer category.

I have had it with the iceman and it is shitty. This brewery has taken an American legend and made a mockery of him. Its alright for your begining beer drinker but it is terrible overall.

Usually a fan of the flavored beers, but not so much a fan of this one. If the cherry taste weren't so strong I might enjoy it. It's a tad tart as well.

Shockingly, this fruit beer is very pleasant. It's not really all that wheaty but is light and spicy on the palate with a decent but not large head. Problem is, the bottle says they added 'cherry flavor', which sounds like syrup to me. Hell, it tastes good, and that's the bottom line.

oddlly enough, one of the tastier fruity beers that i've tried - the cherry is a nice change from raspberry. Drink no more than one at a time....

Very easy to drink with the right amount of cherry. It gets a little over powering after 3 bottles. Fantastic head retention (due from the wheat) and great carbonation and mouth feel. Nothing really wrong with it. My first cherry...ah ah i guess you could say i 'popped this cherry' ah ah ah! how witty a pun is that! ok i'm stopping now...no i will not go to hell because you want me to. Good beer.

Smells like cherry ice cream before tasting. Tastes like cherry slushy. Has a hit of cherry cough drop, also. The aftertaste is alright, though. I don't think that I would drink more than one of these. I have been known to leave some in the bottle before, too, but since it is Sam, I have to be kind.

mild fruit wheat ale. more wheat taste than cherry. light, and would make a refreshing summer drink.
