Pours a creamy brown amber mixed color. Aroma of distinct melted chocolate. Taste is clean, with coco notes, and slight hops. The chocolate flavor lasts throughout the beer, including in the aftertaste. A decent cream ale that seemed carbonated.

On tap as part of a flight at Brewer’s Tasting Room, St. Pete, FL, on January 22, 2014.
Stated to be 5.5% ABV.
Clear dark copper oxide to brown color, light brown head. Intense milk chocolate scent. Sweet, chocolate taste. Cocoa aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness.

(draft @ 101 Bottles of Beer on the Wall - Kent, OH) Light brown pour with a tan head. Aroma is predominantly cocoa powder. Flavor is much the same. Chocolate and cocoa with not much else underneath it. Different but not offensive.

Had this beer on tap last night at 101 bottles of beer on the wall in Kent Ohio. 12 oz pour in a snifter was a dark brown with amber hues with a light khaki colored head that faded quickly. Aroma was huge in chocolate and malts, chocolate aroma reminds me of a tootsie roll. Mouth feel was interesting as for this to be a cream ale it was rather light but it was so smooth almost like it was on nitro but it was not. As it warmed I felt like I could get a nutty flavor from it, the malts also became more apparent as well.

Draft at the Bier Baron in DC. Poured a dark, cloudy brown color with a small tan head. Aroma is full on, total milk chocolate. I mean, seriously milk chocolate like quality Cadbury chocolate. Flavor is the same, real - not artificial tasting - milk chocolate. Maybe a touch of tootsie roll. I am kinda blown away. Not that gimmicky when you think about something like Youngs exists. The real taste to this has me giving some high props to this one. Well done!

While they call it a ’cream stout,’ chocolate cream stout would be more appropriate. This is hands down the best "chocolate beer" I’ve ever had. Not cloying and overwhelmingly sweet like Young’s can be. Smells and tastes very clearly of chocolate, but as that haze clears you’re left with a solid dark malty stout. Clearly has lactose in it, as the mouthfeel is very creamy; almost like a nitro charged brew. Dark, deep brown with a robust cream-colored head. Really, I can’t say enough about this brew.

Deep reddish amber color out of the tap with a foamy beige head. Big chocolaty nose of brownies and Coco Puffs. Tootsie rolls, hazelnut liqueur, brownies with nuts in them, with some fruit and artificial chocolate in the finish. Interesting chocolate beer.

This was awesome. Smelled like brownie batter and milk chocolate. Some dark chocolate notes as well. Similar flavors. Really good.

Back Log. On Draft. Thin bodied brew with a strong chocolate and coacoa presence. The finish was a bit much on the sweet end, but with a splash of vanilla. However not a bad brew. The smell was nice and rich.

On tap at the Blue Canoe. how in the world a bar in Tupelo, MS got this I have no idea, but it was nice on this cold pre-winter eve on the patio. I think this oughta be re-named the Tootsie Roll beer, because they NAILED that flavor. Decent, very thin for what I wanted it to be though, and a bit one note with the fakey chocolate. Still, I enjoyed it.
