COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hazy and golden in color, this brew is a fresh twist on the popular Hefeweizen style. Eureka and Lisbon lemons, from three growing regions in California, balance out the wheat malt character, resulting in a crisp and refreshing wheat ale with subtle lemon flavor. Cheers!

Bottled at Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm. Cloudy golden, creamy head. Perfumy marmelade aroma. Fairly sweet with medium body and compact mouthfeel. Orange marmelade and herbal spices. A drinkable, though somewhat bold beer. Typical Sam Adams, good, distinctive but not outstanding.

A: The pour is a cloudy, light orange color with very little foam. S: There is a strong (fake) lemon aroma along with a bit of wheat. What I’m guessing are the hops give off a very grassy scent. T: The taste also has a strong lemon flavor, but not quite as artificial. There is also the same grassy hop character, along with a slight bitterness on the finish. M: The beer is fairly light on the tongue and has a moderate level of carbonation. D: I could see some people enjoying this and having several, but I’m not a fan. It’s not so bad that I’d pour it, but it’s definitely not winning me over.

Bottle from South Bay Drug. Pours hazy orange gold with some white head. Aroma is kind of musty with lemon. Near medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is kind of paper/wheat with lemon - which doesn’t conceal the wheat. An ok drink, but far from exciting.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange golden with a small creamy white head that diminishes quickly leaving sticky lacing along the glass. the aroma is lemon zest and citrus with wheat and orange peel. Thin mouthfeel with a crisp citrus and lemon flavor similar to the aroma. Easy to drink and refreshing, a very good wheat ale from Sam Adams.
