3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This wheat beer pours a slightly hazy medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. No noticeable sediment. Small, quickly diminishing, white foamy head, without much lacing. Odd for a wheat beer, it seems. The aroma is flour, cereal, and lemon drop. Medium bodied. The malts are cereal and wheaty. Herbal hops. Not that much like claimed hefeweisen as claimed. Little banana and clove. Not as smooth either. More tart and sour. Finish is crisp and clean. An interesting wheat beer. Not my favorite BBC offering, but solid.
12oz Flasche. Strohgelbes trübes Bier mit festem weissem Schaum. Es duftet kräftig nach Zitronenschale und Hefe. Geschmack auch sehr zutrinig und süffig. Sirmixsomewhat (266) - Paoli, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 10, 2015
This was my favorite wheat beer for the longest time. It was also my first. I haven’t had it in forever, so my points for it go to nostalgia, but I know I’d still like it if I drank one now. PartyFowle (954) - - JUL 16, 2015
A grayish-white soda-bubble head recedes to a light film, atop a mostly clear beer with lots of bubbles the color of watered-down OJ. Aroma reminds of wheat, obviously, with some lemon, bananas, and a sour yeastiness. Lemon rules the flavor. A sweet citrus bomb. High carbonation assaults the mouth. Light body, smooth. Goes down easily, but the oppressive citrus flavors and sweetness definitely detract from the experience. mstrcrwly (1000) - New York, USA - APR 4, 2015
blah blah blah blah blah ..blah blah blah blah...blah blah blah blah..pretty much sums it up. Brandon1989 (657) - Lewisville, Texas, USA - JAN 29, 2015
Pours a hazy light golden color with a medium white head that left some lacing around the glass. The aroma is wheat, lemon, and citrus. The taste is very similar to the aroma but I also pick up some breadiness and sweetness. Decent beer.

Bottle...pours cloudy dark straw with a small off white head....sour wheat aroma with some artificial lemon scent, like a kids cereal...taste is similar....except the lemon is almost like a dish detergent smell.....not a good wheat. Oh and its watery too....rating from 3-2-2010 slowrunner77 (11938) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 5, 2014
"looks like i liked this a touch more than the others so far. Nothing spectacular, but better than expected. cloudy yellow body, good head. refreshing wheat, yeast and citrus (lemon) in the aroma. the flavor is toasted malt, grain, more lemon. quite nice. one bone to pick, though...what in the bloody hell is it doing in the "winter" classics. why?! it’s a summer beer!!" Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – Pours a lightly hazed golden orange color with a big creamy white head. The head has a nice level of retention, slowly fading to leave a lighter level of lacing.
Smell – The aroma is heavy of a grainy wheat bread and lemon aroma.
Taste – Overall the flavors don’t transition too much. The taste starts out with a more grainy wheat taste with a lighter citrus flavor. The tastes start out with a slightly drier flavor up front and takes on more sweetness more toward the middle. As the taste advances further the wheat gets less grainy (smoother) in nature with more lemon flavor coming to the tongue, souring the brew ever so slightly. In the end a smooth wheat and lemon flavor are left to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is average with a carbonation level that is rather low for the style of the beer. The body was quite appropriate for supporting the wheat flavor, although more carbonation would have been more fitting for the lemon flavors of the brew.
Overall – An alright beer, but nothing to call home about. This is one of my lesser favorites that Sam Adams produces. Even so it is not a bad brew. GTAEgeek (2190) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - JUL 1, 2014
12 oz. bottle thanks to Dan, I think... or whoever left this in my fridge. Pours a dark, straw color, with a medium, off-white head. The aroma is hay, oranges, light bubblegum, lemon juice, and coriander. Citrusy sweetness, a touch of bready yeast, and a light, lemony tartness. Light body, chewy, and lightly acidic. Overall, this is a fair wheat beer. Hits most of the key points of the style, but the flavor is weak, and the mouthfeel is lacking. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAY 19, 2014
Pours a hazy golden color with light white head. Citrus, wheat, and come lemon on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a wheaty sweetness to it.
