Rated from old notes that say "burnt, unbalanced, don’t buy this stuff again. 2.0" Probable rerate candidate. Larry_Duffman (535) - - SEP 15, 2016
I poured it from the bottle into a glass. It pours a dark brown and black with a tan head and some lacing. The aroma is coffee and chocolate. The taste is chocolate, milk, coffee, and some burnt sugar. It’s creamy with nice sweetness and bitterness. I haven’t had this one in a while. This is a solid beer. jrodooo5 (1672) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - SEP 9, 2016
Beautiful & delicious - this is a very good offering from Sam Adams! Jet black pour w/ a lasting mocha head & decent lacing. The aroma is a nice mild roastiness. The taste is a tad thin but to be expected from a beer under 5%. The mild & semi sweet choolate & coffee notes are quite tasty! Very drinkable. Lovely! Süßlicher, trocken malziger Beginn. Cremig würzig, Röstnoten, etwas Karamell. Trocken herber Mittelteil, der aber weiter durch die Malzigkeit dominiert wird. Langer röstiger Nachhall, erdig. 10/11/11/11/8/11 Hermod (7846) - Vantaa, FINLAND - JUL 30, 2016

A roasty malt and coffee aroma with notes of caramel and chocolate. Black with a small white foam. Medium-high sweetness and light bitterness. Average lively carbonation, creamy texture and medium body. Tasteful! visionthing (5362) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUN 20, 2016
35,5cl bottle from SuperAlko, Tallinn. Pours very dark brown with a modest, beige head. Roasty aroma with some spicy and slightly wooden notes, chocolate, dark dried fruits and caramel. Medium sweet with roasty flavours and a mild bitterness. Enjoyable. tfontana (968) - Fremont, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 11, 2016
Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from One Stop Market. Aroma is roasted caramel malts, cocoa nibs. Appearance is dark reddish-brown (almost opaque) with finger-width foamy beige head with decent retention and lacing. Taste is as aroma. Palate is medium-to-full bodied with thin, creamy texture, soft carbonation and roasted lightly bitter dry finish. Overall, a pretty straightforward offering without a lot of complexity. But, it’s a good straightforward offering. martjoobolut (4375) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 14, 2016

Thin palate very light stout that is somewhat reminiscent of a brown ale. A bit strange mouth feel. It’s ok
