COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams® Cream Stout is a true cream stout, balancing body and sweetness with the natural spiciness of grain and hand selected English hops. Our Brewers use generous portions of roasted chocolate and caramel malts as well as unroasted barley to impart a fullness of body, a roasty malt character and rich, creamy head. Its dark mahogany color make it almost as easy on the eyes as it is on the palate.

Surprised by this one. This has to be my favorite Sam Adams beer. Slightly lactose style smell with chocolate and malt. Pours opaque with a soapy tan head. Taste is sweet with a bitter that seems more like a dark chocolate bitter than a hops bitter. Dark chocolate and coffee taste with a slight vanilla/lactose addition. Smooth, medium to low carbonation. A bit thin/watery on the finish.

330ml bottle. Very dark chestnut brown color. Small size, brown head, stays. Dusty chocolate cake, roasted malts, sweetish, faint supermarket gingerbread in aroma. Dark roasted dry chocolate cake, bit of mint (or more likely spicy hops), sweet and nuts in taste. Roasted malts and nuts in aftertaste. Nice hoppy tingle in my mouth. Reminds me an old home made fruit bread. Quite nice.

Dark brown with a ruby tinge, medium to small creamy tan head. Nose is roasty, some ash, hops, chocolate and coffee in the background. Flavor is mellow coffee, roast, malt, caramel, some mild hops in the semi-dry finish. Lingering roasty acidity. Some roast and ash in the retronasals. Nice balance, very easily drinkable.

Great stout has hoppy chocolate and vanilla notes, creamy and smooth finish. Good pour, solid tan head, smells a bit of coffee and leather with a hint of cashew. Aftertaste as good as initial taste, smooth from start to finish. One of my favorites.

Dark ruby to brown colour, almost black with thick beige head. Malty aroma, toasted coffee, chocolate, dark fruits, smoke, all are very delicate smells, barely noticeable. Strong coffee flavor, bitter chocolate hints. Medium body, most on the weak side. Great beer, but I expected more of it.

joejames (510) - Jacobus, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 11, 2016
Bottle to shaker glass, pours deep mahogany red. One finger tan head, Some lacing and retention. Aroma roasted barley and vanilla. Taste is mainly sweet, bitterness seem to come from the dark roast rather than the hops. Medium body, moderate carbonation, mouth feel is a little thin. Tasting notes, light hints of both chocolate and coffee. Vanilla, lactose and grass. Pretty much textbook cream stout.

Overall a good offering from Samuel Adams. Their base taste is there with a hint of chocolate and a smoother palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
