okay, okay, I’m sort of digging this one. The Double Agent is zest, citrus, pine, and considerably smooth and sweet. Whatever Sam calls this , it is pretty good. drfabulous (7941) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - FEB 2, 2014
from a 12 ounce. Nicely hopped. Decent malt build. Overall flavor is citrus and a really clean taste. Much better than I anticipated. mreddie (2) - - JAN 30, 2014 does not count
This beer is the bomb!!!! Great taste with a refreshing finish.....The aroma is what really got me to try it......highly recommend for you next unfound beer! ikigai (75) - California, USA - JAN 30, 2014
Strange combo of crisp lager style with hoppiness that didn't really work for me. Bottle was near end of freshness range so maybe a liitle past it's prime. A little too bitter without the hops flavor I like.

This seems to be the new cool thing in brewing now, a lager that is supposed to taste like an IPA. My question naturally is, "why not just have an IPA". Not liking it too much.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2014 Aroma up front is cutrus, pine, caramel, and sweet bread. Pours Crystal clear copper. flavor is very floral. Not much malt character in the taste. Thin-medium bodied. Very interesting. Slightly astringent. Beerathon (1683) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 14, 2014
Crisp and clean like a lager, yet very hop forward. The hops are a bit muddled- slight citrus and pine with a spice bite. I enjoy this newer style though (IPL). mikesaum (711) - Newark, Ohio, USA - JAN 13, 2014
Pours a dark gold with a white head. Aroma is a lot of citrusy hops. Taste is slightly bitter, piney, orange, grapefruit, clean finish. pretty good and easy drinking. Acknud (1081) - Morganfield, Kentucky, USA - JAN 12, 2014
Another nice SA entry. Copper pour with a frothy head. Aroma is pine to me. The taste is well balanced with malt and hops. HughConway (831) - Washington, USA - JAN 11, 2014
12oz bottle from a 6er. Pours clear copper-amber, stiff white head. Aroma is hop citrus grass. Taste is clear crisp hops. Finish is clear. It’s a great "light" IPA that’s better than quite a few ’full’ IPAs. If people followed this session lead, session’s wouldn’t suck.
