From bottle. Pours lite amber with smallish head. Aroma was all floral hop and toasted hops. Taste follows with a nice bittering. Much better then I was expecting. Oscbert (1319) - Lincoln, California, USA - FEB 4, 2013
~Strong floral hop aroma with grapefruit and mango. Very light bready maltiness. Very clean! Hops dominate. Very enjoyable aroma.
~Pours a very clear light copper color with small quickly disappearing head.
~Strong hoppy flavors of grapefruit, mango, and light pine and floral.
~medium bodied, medium co2, lasting bitter hop finish.
~Not much malt to speak of here. Great way to showcase the hops. It would be interesting to have an English IPL with Marris Otter and maybe some English Caramel malts. Still enjoyed this beer and will tell my hophead friends about it. Westmeister (2129) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - FEB 4, 2013
Bottle. Pours clear copper with an off-white head. The aroma has earthy and pine hops, with caramel malt and clean lager yeastiness. The flavor starts light spicy hops and some caramel and crackers. A bit overly sweet for me, however. Still a very nice hoppy lager. Jabic (656) - Plainfield, Vermont, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Ar: Red grapefruit, bitter orange peel, lime.
Ap: Crystal-clear copper - medium-small extremely light tan head, good retention, thin but solid foam layer remains.
T: Grapefruit rind and clean toasted malt up front - lemon-lime - medium-high bitterness, a bit tannic - finish is crackers and lean citrus.
P: Medium-light body with high carbonation - finish is very dry.
O: Bright lager with clean malt and aggressive hop flavor, plus a firm grip of bitterness - very nice. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - FEB 3, 2013
UPDATED: OCT 12, 2013 Bottle. Pours a golden orange color with a thick foamy head that fades normally. Aroma is fairly hoppy. Lots of grass and hay, light flowers. Taste is pretty much the same. Very grassy and floral, lightly spicy. Very little malt to back it up. Finish is dry and crisp. Not bad, I wish they would have this as the spring seasonal instead of the Alpine Spring. Re-rate 10/12/13 - Taste and aroma still seem focused on flowers but there’s also some nice pine and tropical fruit coming through too. It’s also not as dry as I remember. Good beer.

Poured from 12oz bottle, pours a clear golden amber with a nice white head and some lacing, aroma has a little but if citrus and hops, more bread than anything, the flavor has a nice hop front end with a crisp finish, not bad at all cmonster (1000) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Clear pale bronze in color with a short-med head. Good retention. Aroma of spicy hops and clean malt. Medium bitter flavor. Light body, oily texture and a long, crisp, bitter finish. More of a pils than a lager. The hops do come off like an ipa. Solid. TheBeerGod (6253) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Bottle. Soft amber with a foamy, white head. Aroma is hoppy with pine, citrus and floral notes and soft caramel. Taste is big citrus fruit, pine notes, floral hops, sweet malt and chewy caramel. Body is medium with a moderate, bubbly carbonation. Ends with more citrus fruit, pine resins, floral hops, tropical fruit and caramel. arone12 (932) - Maryland, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Didn’t know this would be a premium lager. Tastes more like a pale ale. Nice hops with some malty character. Good beer. Go ravens. burg326 (5593) - Florida, USA - FEB 3, 2013
12 ounce bottle pours a shade of amber, aromas of light hops, citrus, and some pepper. Flavors are the same, light citrus flavor with a light bitter aftertaste, decent beer overall.
