Honey gold color. Floral aroma. Flavor has floral and grapefruit notes. Definitely lacks the depth of an ale but pleasant flavor and highly drinkable. I like it.

Really impressed with this beer. I like the lagers and IPA style hopping it up is great! Acknud (1082) - Morganfield, Kentucky, USA - JAN 12, 2014
Another nice SA entry. Copper pour with a frothy head. Aroma is pine to me. The taste is well balanced with malt and hops. MrBeerFanatic (1076) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - MAY 16, 2013
Pours a light amber with a pillow head decent retention and light carbonation. Aromas of fruity/floral hops(grapefruit, pine) and caramel. Flavors of light pine, spruce, light floral, and just a light caramel backbone. Leaves a slight corn/grain aftertaste. Lightly sweet. Mostly comes through like an ipa slightly above the average especially in the nose. Pleasantly surprised with this one! scooterbub (1068) - Lander, Wyoming, USA - JUN 23, 2013
12 ounce bottle. Pours a darker gold with a two inch white, pillowy head that lasts. Taste is of citrus, pine, malt, grapefruit, hops. Nice aroma that is similar. Has a nice body that finishes dry and bitter. Easy to drink like a lager, but packs an IPA punch. Refreshing and quite enjoyable. A nice beer that I wouldn’t mind enjoying on a summer camping trip.

Clear golden color with some orange hues and a small, bubbly white head. Aroma is herbal, some tropical fruits and slight citrus. Tasty is hoppy in line with the aroma, herbal with some citrus and grapefruit, firm but mild with a salty finish and short after taste. Medium to light palate, easy driking, refreshing and tasty at the same time. Kind of a hopped-up Boston Lager. Wish they could do something like this @ 4.2 - 4.4% abv MarkSachon (1062) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 12, 2013
12 oz bottle from the Spring Thaw sampler case. Very pleasing with a freshness all about. No bite from hop excess or associated bitterness. A vague creaminess throughout. Ericular (1042) - Minnesota, USA - APR 15, 2013
Pours a clear gold with lasting head and nice spotty lacing. Aroma is piney, citrusy, spicy hops with some caramel and bready malts. Flavor is sweet on the tongue, immediately into a moderate amount of bitter pine resin and some grapefruit. A few seconds later, the hops make room for some caramel malt, but the hops make sure to stick around. Later, classic Sam Adams bready aftertaste and faint lingering hop resin. All of this with the clean finish of a lager. This is super drinkable. It’s like a hoppy version of their original lager, but without enough balance to go down very easy. Very impressive! 12oz bottle. I agree with the description mostly, I found it pretty delightful from start to finish. This is the kind of brewing innovation I like - taking an underrated style and redefining it. Bitter but not unpleasant, very very fresh aroma and taste. Well done! cmonster (1000) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Clear pale bronze in color with a short-med head. Good retention. Aroma of spicy hops and clean malt. Medium bitter flavor. Light body, oily texture and a long, crisp, bitter finish. More of a pils than a lager. The hops do come off like an ipa. Solid.
