UPDATED: SEP 18, 2013 Extremely large head with nice golden color. A little bitter but not overly so. Somewhat sweet and very hoppy. drjay44 (3892) - Salida, Colorado, USA - MAR 26, 2013
12 oz. bottle. Pours a medium, tiny bubbled, well retained white head, with extensive lacing, over a clear, amber (SRM 12) body.....nose is pine, grapefruit, other citrus....taste is ligth toffee/caramel, pine, citrus peel, finishing with a moderate soft bitterness....mouth feel medium, minimally sticky, carbonation adds a soft finish. Rating this as a Premium Lager using BJCP standards will lead to a very low score. It almost completely misses the style with the hop aromas and flavors so very forward, and the malt back bone being so obvious. It is technically well done. Rating this on Ratebeer where standards are looser, results in a rather highly thought of beer. BJCP 7/3/11/4/5 r464 (2377) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 1, 2013
Smooth and malty, but balanced. Full enough, but not heavy. A very nice lager that the macros could sure learn from. RSRIZZO (2034) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - APR 11, 2013
12oz bottle poured into a Shaker at 40°. Color is a light golden with good carbonation and a small rocky head. Aroma is hoppy with bold grapefruit and pine scents. It has a medium body with a smooth mouth feel. Flavor comes in with citrus and pine then fruity malt and a mild bitterness that gives a bit of spice. After taste is clean with lingering bitterness and citrus. Overall its just like a good IPA, doesn’t seem all that much smooth being a Lager. notalush (5955) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - APR 14, 2013
Gold pour with a very light haze - fairly effervescent body, with a frothy, well-sustained head - nose is pretty much all hops - a nice mix, but that cascade, citra and centennial come through the most - very American IPA in aroma - no lager character, but pleasant none-the-less - low carbonation - fairly creamy texture - at first, the flavor is much like the nose - all IPA, no lager - citrus, pine, the zesty character of the Nelson and th Zeus - light bodied and fairly crisp - very mild, but rich Munich character late - fairly crisp, almost crackery finish - not what I was expecting, but once I got past that, I found it to be a nice, sessionable hoppy brew.

Bottle poured clear golden hue w/ a white frothy lingering head and some sticky lacing. Decent hop aromas. Initial flavor is light sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Bold citrus and pine hop taste and light on the lager. Light bodied and soft carbonation. Nickls (2617) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - APR 29, 2013
Bottle. Mostly white head, clear golden orange. Nice citrus hoppiness, some melon, and dry crackery malt in the aroma. Flavor is dry, grassy, grapefruit, and leans a bit like some imperial pils I’ve had. Dry, snappy carbonation. Not bad at all. bluemooner (657) - East Bethel, Minnesota, USA - MAY 1, 2013
Pours a clear copper with a medium white head. Aroma is floral hops and citrus. Flavor is citrus and tropical fruits with floral, grassy hops. Medium body with heavy carbonation. Pretty good. commonshawn (1339) - Minnesota, USA - MAY 17, 2013
Straw color. Good lacing. Starts like a lager, but ends with a grain and fruit finish that makes it very interesting. And better than the typical lager BREWMUSKCLES (2759) - New Jersey, USA - MAY 19, 2013
