12 oz. bottle. Pours a golden light amber, white fluffy head with good lacing. Smell is sweet pine, citrus and hops with a bready earthy tone as well. Taste is really smooth, creamy texture, nice hop notes but not too aggressive. Carbonation is perfect for this style. Really like this one, Good summertime alternative to an IPA with its smooth drinkability. TheBear11D (365) - Michigan, USA - JUL 28, 2013
The Double Agent IPL pours a mostly cloudy orangish yellow with a thick off-white head that lasts forever leaving excellent lacing. The aroma is citrus, lemon, orange and pine. The flavor is lemon, pine and orange. Overall this is a very interesting brew as it is a mix of an IPA and a lager. I hope to see more of this brew.

Draft. A nice hoppy lager. Nose is nice sweet yeast and hops. Good sweetness and bitterness is the flavor. Interesting. ElGaucho (2401) - Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA - OCT 12, 2014
Bottle as part of hopped up IPA 6 pack. Have had this before and don’t really recall it. Wonderful sweet fruity hop aroma, hazy dark gold body with a dreamy tiny bubble white head. Starts out a little on the ordinary side with hints of wet cardboard. But settles in as a really nice go to quality IPA. Not extraordinary but really solid. UPDATED: DEC 30, 2014 A perfect session beer. Easy to drink and crisp like a lager with plenty of tropical and citrus from the hops to give it plenty of taste. Light bitterness, an easy dryness to balance it out. Samuel Adams know their lagers.

Poured into a pint glass from a bottle. Two fingers of off white head which leaves nice lacing. A bouquet of citrusy hops fills the nose. Taste is pleasantly bitter. An excellent easy to drink ipl! SSSteve (4006) - - FEB 22, 2013
bottle. clear gold with large fluffy white head. spicy hop aroma with white grapefruit. big, grainy flavor of straw. like a lager with the syrupy sweetness replaced with citrusy lemony hops. lemon lime finish. medium body. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - FEB 28, 2013
Pours a translucent golden orange amber with a creamy/bubbly off white head that laced. Aroma of a handful of fresh American hops. Piney, floral and citrusy. There is a nice malt character coming through that I get from many Sam Adams beers, however for the most part thise nose is all about the hops! Flavor of resiny hops, sticky pine and floral. Really a great hop flavor profile going on. Clean a crisp with a nice lightly toasted/cereal grain malt profile poking through. Well done Boston Beer Company! Make sure you try this when it’s fresh...that hoppy goodness will diminish quickly. AndyW68 (1542) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAR 6, 2013
Wow, did not expect this from Samuel Adams. Thier beers are accetable for the most part, but this is really good. Coppery pour with nice white hewd. Aroma is nice mixture of lemon and hops. Sweet and bitter are fairly well balanced. MarkSachon (1023) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 12, 2013
12 oz bottle from the Spring Thaw sampler case. Very pleasing with a freshness all about. No bite from hop excess or associated bitterness. A vague creaminess throughout.
