11/6/12. 12oz bottle from Publix. Barely hazy deep amber pour with a small khaki head that cuts in half and sticks in a small ring and laces in spotty sheets. Big banana and fruitiness in the aroma with touches of cream, caramel, and spice. The flavor shows a ton of banana, bubblegum, and fruit again with hints of spice, caramel, and metal. Not bad, actually. obguthr (6653) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - NOV 4, 2012
Clove and bread crust, mild banana overtones. Clear copper, medium head. Banana, lemon, and walnut flavor, graham crackers. Nicely done, true to style. Flavorful, but a little too thin in the mouthfeel. Maybe just a bit too tart and citrusy as well. keanex (1799) - Atco, New Jersey, USA - NOV 3, 2012

Appearance: The body is a clear burnt copper/brown with a thin tan head that has poor retention.
Aroma: Strong banana esters, reminds me of a banana laffy taffy, that’s it.
Taste: Light caramel on the intro to mid with the yeast picking up giving a banana flavor on the finish that lingers a second or two.
Palate: Medium bodied with very sparse carbonation.
Overall: This is just way too heavy on banana to enjoy fully, pass.
Bottle. Amber color with a small, white head. Your typical aromas for this style: banana, clove and bubble gum. Initial flavor of malts and cloves with a faint banana finish. Average carbonation with a thin body and texture. Nothing wrong with having a few of these. jmagnus87 (3302) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - NOV 2, 2012
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a very dark rust-orange with a half finger of quickly dissipating head...and some big flakey chunks floating around. Aroma is mostly clove and nutmeg with a hint of cinnamon and some caramel malt. Taste is light bitter and light sweet. Lots of nutmeg and clove with caramel and a hint of tart granny smith apple. A good bit of banana in there too. Medium bodied with a thin yet sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a pretty long finish. Overall, not bad. I would be willing to drink this one again.

12 ounce bottle from Harvest Collection 12-pack purchased at Total Wine for $13.99 tnkw01 (1800) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 27, 2012
Bottle. Dark amber in color. Really nice head that slowly disappears leaving some lace. Taste is cloves and.....yes I believe that’s bananas. Aroma is too much clove. SpringsLicker (3677) - Tennessee, USA - OCT 26, 2012
Pours medium brown under a tall off-white head.
Aroma of fresh banana bread.
The flavor is slightly sweet, not quite as complex as the aroma.
A bit on the thin side for a Dunkelweizen, but passable.
The Michelob Dunkel Wiesse is a bit better IMO for the class of "Domestic Macro Dunkelwiezens" Iphonephan (7263) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - OCT 26, 2012
From a bottle poured at home. Pours a deep, hazy amber with an off white head. Fruity banana aroma and flavor without much hop present. Crisp finish. A decent, sessionalbe beer. JohnnyJ (5569) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 23, 2012
Bottle. Amberish pour, slight haze, with an off white head. Over ripe fruit, banana, wheat, sweetness, and light spice. Decent.
