Deep copper color. Aroma is over-ripe bananas and oatmeal. Taste is shockingly bad; this is second tasting, could not even finish either time. Perhaps this style eludes me, but I am shocked at the poor taste of this offering from SA. Macegan75 (856) - Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 15, 2012
Bottle sampler case that my sister left at my Dad’s. Pours a cloudy dark brown, nose is esters, nutmeg. first sip is dark wheat flavors, slight souness followed by, ild banana finish. Frothmeister (843) - Ontario, CANADA - OCT 14, 2012
12oz bottle. Pours a hazy orange brown with a light brown head. A big nose of concord grape, honey, alcohol, dried fruit, and yeast. The taste has surprising sour undertones, slightly watery, yeast, banana, and some faint citrus, alcohol, tart summer apples, and kind of a sweet & sour sauce thing too. The Samuel Adams Autumn Sampler was a damn good buy. Pick one up if it’s still out. GnarlyGnome (673) - Fairfield, Ohio, USA - OCT 14, 2012
Bottle: pours a beautiful hazy copper color, with a nice tan head. Aromas are sour yeasty bananas. The flavor is that wonderful banana clove that I love. It's a good beer, not the best dunkelwiezen that I have ever had, but its good.

Pours a dark amber with a good frothy couple of inches of foam - I was expecting a bit more dunkel to be honest. The aroma department was dominated by banana, with hints of spice, not clove, just spice in general, and some toastiness. Tastewise the toasted malts really come through, with a bit of sweet caramel and a nice long reasonably dry finish. Medium bodied, quite drinkable and a decent enough brew.

Pours amber with a finger of off-white head. Aroma is light and fruity with some banana notes. Tastes almost like a fried banana but not nearly as strong a flavor. Pretty good beer ozarkspops (368) - - OCT 10, 2012
Hazy nut brown pour with thin head. Aroma is mostly wheat. Taste starts with yeast and wheat fruitiness but finishes with more balanced malt character.

Murky brown with a light white head. Musty wheat malt character. Somewhat sour with light spice notes. Some esters and banana with a touch of caramel. Jow (4170) - Orlando, Florida, USA - OCT 9, 2012
Bottle from variety pack while pre gaming outside patriots game. Pours brown with semi earthy sweet nose. Tastes of malt, nutty, earth, banana, wheat, and nutmeg. Light bodied easy drinking but nice for crisp fall day like now TomTiedemann (249) - Levittown, New York, USA - OCT 9, 2012
(9/14) Pours hazy brown/light brown. very malty in taste which I think overpowered the opportunity to taste other spices., finish was sweet/bitter all in one
