COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This rich and luscious brew indulges in flavor with over 28Ibs of pumpkin per barrel, for a full bodied sweetness and deep russet color. Classic pumpkin pie spices of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice ignite a warmth and spark that’s deepened by an undercurrent of roasty smoked malts. The result is a delectable brew full of enveloping layers of flavor and spice. At Samuel Adams we love experimenting. This series of limited edition brews represents some of our favorite small batch creations. Style: Pumpkin Beer Hops: East Kent Goldings, Fuggle Malts: Samuel Adams Two-Row Pale Malt Blend, Caramel 60, Special B, Smoked Malt Extras: Real Pumpkin, Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg, Allspice

Initially released on tap as "Double Pumpkin" in 2011, it was bottled as "Fat Jack Double Pumpkin" in 2012.

Bottle 65 cl from Systembolaget. Clear red with a beige thick head. Pumpkin, brown sugar, lots of spices, savory, some alcohol. Medium/full body, low carbonation, spicy finish. Interesting!

Bottle. Has an orange tint to a dark brown color. Nice tan head, good lacing. Aroma is very pleasant. Heavy pumpkin, moderate to heavy nutmeg and other spices. Moderate malts- caramel and bread. Taste is sweet. Body is medium to full, carbonation soft to average. Really enjoyed this.

Enjoyed on tap at a random bar prior to attending a wedding in Geneva, IL. I didn’t take tasting notes while drinking this, but I remember this having a dark brown hue with a rich white head, aroma of pumpkin, and a thick consistency which was also a bit potent. Would enjoy again.

P: Dark mahogany body that boasts a creamy khaki head that settles to a thin silky layer. Retention was low with minimal lacing. S: Sweet caramel malt, roast pumpkin, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, and pale malts. Sweetness is subdued by an earthy aroma. T/M: Smoked malt, natural pumpkin without added sweetener, pie crust, aged wood, the above mentioned spices with cinnamon chiming in on the aftertaste. Taste is more natural and spiced than the sweeter nose. Medium-full sticky body with a gentle prickle of carbonation. O: This reminds me of setting around a camp fire in fall with the smell of pumpkins and spice crackling in the air. The pumpkin is not like your typical artificial pumpkin pie flavored beer but a more roasty and earthy flavor. It’s quite nice and warming.

Pours a dark red copper with an off white head that persists, smells so much like pumpkin pie and taste just about the same. Great beer very drinkable, spices are much more noticeable than the pumpkin itself

Malty nutmeg flavor, cinnamon, ginger, caramel, peppery, salty, some hay, some herbal notes. Spicy bready finish with cinnamon and ginger. Nicely spiced beer.

On tap September 28, 2013 at ABR. Brown pour with some head. I have seen this at many stores, but never pulled the trigger. Was glad to try it at the event, a very good pumpkin beer.

UPDATED: OCT 28, 2014 650 ml bottle, pours a dark opaque mahogany with a medium tan head. A strong spicy complex aroma of pumpkin, cinnamon, ginger, pepper, maple syrup, raisins and muscovado. Tastes similar to the aroma, somewhat sweet with a medium bitterness. Slightly oily texture, soft carbonation and medium-full body. This is my very first pumpkin beer, I have always avoided the style because I don’t like the taste of pumpkin. Fortunately yet again Samuel Adams doesn’t disappoint, this beer is surprisingly tasty, strong and spicy. But definitely share the bottle, the taste quickly becomes too much because of the spiciness.

Pour from a 22oz bomber. Deep reddish brown, clear, brew with tan head. Aroma of pumpkin pie spices. Taste is an excellent blend of pumpkin, mild spice, roasted malt and fine hops bittering in the end. Is sweet from start to finish, even with the hops, but totally delicious.

Flaska från Systembolaget. En riktigt god höstöl! Söt som en efterrätt men inte sliskig och dessutom bra beska och lång smak! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
