This rich and luscious brew indulges in flavor with over 28Ibs of pumpkin per barrel, for a full bodied sweetness and deep russet color. Classic pumpkin pie spices of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice ignite a warmth and spark that’s deepened by an undercurrent of roasty smoked malts. The result is a delectable brew full of enveloping layers of flavor and spice. At Samuel Adams we love experimenting. This series of limited edition brews represents some of our favorite small batch creations. Pint nine bottle pours almost a dark brown with off white head and plenty of lacing. The aroma is pumpkin, minor spice and some molasses. The flavor is lots of pumpkin and mild spice and molasses again. Very nice combination. Melds very well together. Does have a solid malt backbone.

Nice taste of pumpkin. Not overpowering for an imperial. Slight after taste. Nice offering

Ruby copper in color with khaki head. Spicy pumpkin aroma. Fall spice flavors, nutmeg, cinnamon & clove followed by more pumpkin notes and a touch of alcohol warmth.

bottle - Pours clear, deep amber with a small, light tan head. It smells of cinnamon, ginger, pumpkin, and caramel malt. The flavor is very sweet with assertive pumpkin pie spices. It’s a very good, full bodied brew. Some people will find it too sweet.

22 oz. bottle. Batch #2. A clear ruby pour with a thick & creamy khaki head. The aroma features some crisp caramel maltiness, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, a rich breadiness, and some hints of pumpkin. A smoky woodsiness and a touch of molasses become apparent with a little warmth. Relatively medium-bodied on the way down. Caramel, molasses, and a big breadiness dominate upfront taste-wise. A little vanilla extract in the middle. Raisins and squash at the end. Some smoky woodsiness here and there. Lots of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and ginger from start to finish. Kinda boozy. A solid pumpkin beer.

Not my favorite of the pumpkin beers, but not bad. Has a scotch ale feel to it with some spicy cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg notes. Have an underlining smoky flavor that is a bit too strong for my liking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very Excited to try this and it did not disappoint. Doesn’t look or smell like anything special, but has a very distinct flavor that I have yet to find in other seasonal pumpkin brews.

Very spicy. Full of cinnamon, molasses and earth. A nice clear reddish-brown color. Lots of lace. A strong pumpkin presence dominates though.

22 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured dark copper in color, nice off white head and lots of lacing on the glass. Strong pumpkin aroma, some spices, malts and some alcohol, nice. Taste is a bit boozy, however is well balanced with malts, spices and pumpkin; so far I think is one of the best pumpkin ales I have tried this season. Very good brew. Enjoyable.

On draft at lost dog in McLean. Pours a clear cola with an off white head. Malty nose. Flavors of caramel, raisins and pumpkin. Pumpkin spices are subdued. Quite tasty.
