This rich and luscious brew indulges in flavor with over 28Ibs of pumpkin per barrel, for a full bodied sweetness and deep russet color. Classic pumpkin pie spices of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice ignite a warmth and spark that’s deepened by an undercurrent of roasty smoked malts. The result is a delectable brew full of enveloping layers of flavor and spice. At Samuel Adams we love experimenting. This series of limited edition brews represents some of our favorite small batch creations. Style: Pumpkin Beer Hops: East Kent Goldings, Fuggle Malts: Samuel Adams Two-Row Pale Malt Blend, Caramel 60, Special B, Smoked Malt Extras: Real Pumpkin, Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg, Allspice

Initially released on tap as "Double Pumpkin" in 2011, it was bottled as "Fat Jack Double Pumpkin" in 2012.

ChrisOs Christmas Tasting. Clear dark amber - red beer. Bubbly tan head. Light fresh palate, semi dry. Fine carbonation. Nice dark toffee backbone. Fruity pumpkin, very well balanced mild spices. Finishes with more pumpkin fruit. Really nice fruit in this pumpkin beer - swerves the all too common over spicing and ends up a very nice beer indeed!

Reddish colour. Firm and tasty. Not too much of a spice bomb. Quite subtle in fact. Fair amount of caramel. Smooth mouthfeel. Pretty tasty.

Batch 2
Pours a brown color with generous beige head, compact and persistent. It has a mild nose of malt, caramel, spices, brown sugar and very light smoke. Good body strength; caramel flavor, rather sweet; it has a moderates spicy profile, unfortunately also too much liquorice, and maybe some star anise; medium to low bitterness.
Another beer that confuses pumpkin with spices (cassia). And why the big bottle? This is not a beer to drink in large quantities, it becomes quickly cloying.

At Chriso New Year 2011/12 tasting. Spicy aroma. Some deep toffee. Thats quite tasty. Good carbonation. One of the better spiced beers i have had. That is pretty good.
