Some good Noble hops, but not enough malt or complexity to see it through. jtclockwork (16444) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 14, 2010

I drank this a few years ago from what I remember. It wasnt anything special. Nothing to write home about. If you want a pilsner, dont look here. There are TONS better. faroeviking (10842) - FAROE ISLANDS - JAN 1, 2007
Golden special pilsner. Nice golden colour with a nice long lasting head. Aroma of hops and malts. Flavour is nice malty with good fruity hops, little bit sour. A really true and very tasty pilsener.

Very crisp and clean. Pours deep yellow. Decent head. Finishes with a good bitter hoppiness, and sort of sweet and sour. Somewhat dry. A good pilsener. ClarkVV (6642) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 25, 2003
2001 Bottle drank in 2003. Haha, how's that for vintage beer. Not sure why Caper's Deli had bottles from 2001 of this, but I've been searching for it, so I gave it a try. Good clean aroma of slight noble hops and a fluffy, medium dry apple. Very crisp. Color was a deep golden honey, very clear and bubbly. Moderate white head. Decent aroma of hops and a mildly spicy floral yeast, maybe a touch of honey. Begins with a bitter and dry hops flavor, very odd in that it is a good crisp bitter taste, but little flavor, no citrus, slightly floral I guess. That's about it, not much malt to speak of, I guess there is some barley taste on the finish. Light bodied and peppery textured. I really like the crispness of the noble hops, but it just needs some personality. ben4321 (6416) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - MAY 15, 2009
A Sam offering that I haven’t tried in a while (and I guess that would make sense since it’s retired), but I remember this being rather dull and average, so not too much of a loss... Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - JAN 8, 2006
Pours gold with a white head. Smells lemony with some peppery notes. Taste is lemony with some grapes and caramel. Peppery finish. JPDIPSO (6216) - Wauwatosa, USA - APR 3, 2004
Light golden color with a small white head. Aroma of pale malt and lightly citric hops. Rather thin feel. Mild malt flavors with only a touch of hops to balance. Cross between a lager and a pils.
