12oz bottle. Medium off-white head atop clear amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, melon, some clove, orange, spicy, light straw. Taste is moderately sweet, pine, spicy, some clove, orange. Light-medium body, light resin, very drinkable. MadRobin (2988) - Silver Spring, Maryland, USA - MAY 29, 2012
Poured from 12 ounce bottle.
Sparkling and ever so slightly hazy, orange gold copper with two-finger pale khaki head and excellent lacing. Haze clears entirely in a few minutes.
Aroma of citrus hops, banana, cloves and earthy yeast.
Taste of banana and lemon citrus over a solid bready malt base with an earthy bitter aftertaste that I did not enjoy. Much more bitter than a typical Belgian IPA.
Medium body and high carbonation. Nice mouthfeel.

I hate Belgian style beers and this one is no exception. It smells and tastes like bananas just like every other Belgian style beer. It reMinds me of that foul tasting banana flavored gum that came in the Monkees trading cards. The Sam Adams 12 pack this came in was great, with the exception of this beer. Bottled. Poured lighter golden with a creamy off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet, fruity Belgian yeast, cloves, and orange zest over caramel and lesser bready notes. The flavor found clean cloves and redder fruity notes throughout.. spicy on the edges with black pepper, cloves, and fruity bitters.. finished bitter, spicy, and yeasty, with good balance. Light-medium bodied and well-carbonated on the palate.. very good, but maybe a little too clean-feeling. matalec1984 (115) - Massachusetts, USA - MAY 26, 2012
I liked this beer more than my score indicates, I just didn’t really feel it was to style.

Nice amber-ish pour with solid white head. Aroma was very malty and sweet, the beer screams belgian.
Flavor is fruity and malty, there is a slight bitterness towards the end, but the beer is still dominated by its belgian characteristics. If I was simply drinking a belgian ale I think this beer would be spot on. I just don’t get enough from the hops to feel that this is a belgian IPA. A little more balance or bitterness would go a long way for this beer.
Golden pour with a white head. Aroma is fruity, citrus, lemon, some pineapple. Flavor is mild. Sweet malts with some fruit. Light hop finish. A very mild IPA. Cletus (6368) - Connecticut, USA - MAY 23, 2012
Pours gold with a white head. Smells of noble hops, dry pilsner malt, spicy. Tastes grassy with some citrussy hints and a peppery finish. jlruthven (612) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 22, 2012
Bottle, pours clear orange, with fluffy white head. Nice retention. Big biscuity malt notes, typical Belgian effervescence on the nose. Hops are subdued. Grassy hops come through more in the taste, with a bit of earthiness and spice. A bit underwhelming. Good potential session, though. burg326 (5613) - Florida, USA - MAY 22, 2012
12 ounce bottle part of mix pack, poured a copper orange color, aromas of light fruit, pine resin, some pepper, and a touch of flora hops. Flavor is mostly pine with a slightly ground peppper aftertaste, solid beer that didn’t have regular IPA bitterness. craig220 (313) - Crofton, Maryland, USA - MAY 21, 2012
Smells more like a hefeweizen than anything but upon smelling more I can get a little of citrus hops smell. Poured a clear gold color with a white head. Taste is really interesting. Tastes like a hefeweizen at first (banana/clove) but then has a little bit of hop bitterness. Feels very bubbly and slightly acidic in your mouth. Good stuff.
