beertholomeus (1813) - California, USA - JUN 7, 2013
On tap. Poured an amber color with creamy white head. Yeast and malt aromas. Yeast, malt and some hop flavors. Medium body with slightly bitter yeasty finish. krumbum (1109) - truckee, California, USA - JUN 3, 2013
nice zip on the tongue more yeasty then hoppy, flavorful yet managed. Nice but missing the hop from the IPA. Scottmc21 (5) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - MAY 27, 2013 does not count
One of the best. Beers that I have ever tasted in my entire life. Can’t wait to sample more! blutt59 (6564) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAY 25, 2013
Bottled, amber color with white foam, aroma is malty caramel and pine. Flavor of red licorice, caramel, cherries commonmac (1250) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 17, 2013
An attempt by Sam Adams to be crafty and not exactly a success. Main issue is a lingering unpleasant aftertaste like someone left a hop on the floor and then deposited it at the end of the beer. Overall some decent bitterness but falls short of Belgian IPA expectations.

Nice aroma and appearance. Good lacing. A bit soapy, low flavor in middle and ends a bit flat. Good, but doesn’t stack up vs the style. wxman (1820) - O’Fallon, Illinois, USA - MAY 17, 2013
On tap at Global Brew. Pours a pale gold/amber with a thin white head. Aroma is bread and spice. Taste is sweet caramel malt and mild hop bitterness. Quite good. DocLock (10706) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 14, 2013
Bottles from half a dozen places. Pours clear medium copper with 1-finger frothy off-white head. Nose is caramel malt, orange marmalade, somewhat sweet, with peppery dusty yeasty floral esters. Tastes funky, yeast, sweet, with notes of florals, hops, mango, orange marm, and a sweet somewhat cloying finish with some tannins and a finish that reminds me of Boston Ale, whch you don’t see much anymore. This one makes me grumpy, because it is formulaic, you can taste the preservatives, and I need Jim Koch to really kick it up a notch. deyholla (11609) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 14, 2013
On tap at South OKC Old Chicago. Pours a hazy orange gold with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of light fruits with a bit of citrus, sweet grains and underlying grass notes. Flavor has a good amount of clove with light citrus and grass as well as a strong sweet grain backbone. jmm635 (1009) - Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 12, 2013
Dull, clear orange color with a thin but lasting head. Aroma of soggy orange peels and light Belgian yeast. Sweet up front but the middle and back end is bitter. Citrus flavor lingers. Stronger Belgian qualities would improve this best.
