Many thanks to Martin for this bottle! Smooth mild yeasty beginning. Nice spices in the back, cinnamon and nutmeg, fruity banana and clove-yeast. Smooth mild finish, round and fruity, easy to drink with a great spicy-fruity body.

From a 12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy gold with a thick off white head. Aroma of pumpkin pie spices. Flavors are moderately sweet pumpkin and candied yams. This is a good alternative to the many pumpkin ales out there.

Samuel Adams Harvest Hefe has a thick, off-white head, a clear, golden appearance, which displays a descending gray-yellow cloud, following the "swish & pour". Glass lacing is minimal. Aroma is of pumpkin pie spices, white bread, and pie crust. Taste is of pumpkin pie spices, pie crust, white bread crust, and a hint of hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and Harvest Hefe finishes medium dry. RJT

12 ounce bottle - $2.29 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia. Appearance: Dispenses a burnished, darkened gold body, lightly hazed, with a small-sized, thin, white head. Smell: Ample albeit light spice blend, you get a bit of cinnamon, a touch of earthy nutmeg. Lightly toasty wheat. Small sliver of 'nana. Drop (or two) of honey. Taste: Lightly bready, grainy and sweetish with a soft wheat quality to it and small hint of honey. Very low bitterness, hop character. Pretty light in the ester department. The phenolics and the added spices are present but pretty light as well. Remains gently sweetish and spiced on the toasted wheat finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-light carbonation. Overall: While not the most hearty hefe beneath, I will still say it's better than I'd anticipated. Leaning light on the 'nana esters, it didn't adjoin to the spices and deliver a banana bread taste. Also, the spice addition wasn't overbearing or too one-note-y in any particular direction.

The aroma is full of nutmeg and a dash of cinnamon. Hazy golden body with a thin film for a head. The nutmeg and cinnamon come through in taste also. Only modestly sweetened. A light lemon and clove comes through in the palate. Has a zesty quality in the finish. A fine autumn brew that isn't a cliche.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle with an expiration date of February 2018. The look is a slightly cloudy orange-amber with a long lasting and soft foamy head. Good head retention. The aroma is a delight with an array of spices and characters including clove, coriander, banana, what malt, and a juicy fruitiness. The body is smooth and a little better than medium. The taste has much of the same spiciness as the aroma suggests with an added bite of cinnamon that tends to jump forward and hangs on until the end. It ends clean and mild. I could drink it again.
