COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A perennial favorite at our Brewery Halloween party, this reddish amber ale is perfect for fall. Real pumpkin adds a full body and sweetness, while deep roasted malts lend a toasty finish to this subtly spiced brew.

A dark amber color with an off-white head. Heavy on the spices, mostly nutmeg and all spice with a bit of cinnamon. Toasted malt and bread aromas with a light sweetness of toffee. The flavor has a nice subtle vanilla note along with the spices. A little bit of gingerbread character to it as well. Not much actual pumpkin to it, but a pretty decent beer anyway.

Twelve ounce bottle from Samuel Adams sampler pack bought at Kroger in Dent. tasted on September 4, 2011. Dark amber hue, small tan head, moderate aroma of pumpkin and spices, somewhat oily texture, sweet spicy taste with a fair amount of pumpkin and enough biterness to keep things from getting cloying. Thankfully, the spices don’t overwhelm the rest of the flavor. Good seasonal offering.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours clear amber with a reddish hue and two finger head off-white head that dissapates fairly quickly. A little lacing, medium/light body, low/medium carbonation, and pumpkin aroma. Taste is slightly toasty slightly malty nutmeg, pumpkin, and a hint of cinnamon.

spicy, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, slight sweet fruit, medium amber hue, fairly clear, taste, the spice mixture in this was well balanced, very even cinnamon, clove, like a pumpkin pie throughout, then the sweetness from the malt and pumpkin, overall, I really like this as a pumpkin beer, well balanced not a onslant of spice, would like to see abv higher, around 7.5 percent

A little too vegetable-y for me. Nice aroma though and very drinkable. Good for a seasonal 6 pack, not case.

One of the better Pumpkin beers I have had. Seems to be well balanced and rich in flavor. Need to find this in a 6 pack next year. Very enjoyable.

12 oz bottle from variety pack, Pours a deep, clear, deep red with a fizzier head. Finally a thicker, yellow head emerges with good retention and weak lace. Nose is cinnamon, pumpkin pie, pie crust. Taste is bitter, sharp, big specialty malt presence, nutmeg, cinnamon. It’s liquid pumpkin pie just what it should be for something with a name like "Harvest pumpkin".

One of my favorite beers of the Autumn season, pours a nice amber color and has some nice scents and taste of pumpkin and small amounts of spice.

This isn’t a bad beer, though not my particular cup of tea. Slightly sweet, never cloying, the pumpkin spice certainly shines. If you like fruit beers and the like, this is worthwhile (although Dogfish Head makes a superior version.)
