COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A perennial favorite at our Brewery Halloween party, this reddish amber ale is perfect for fall. Real pumpkin adds a full body and sweetness, while deep roasted malts lend a toasty finish to this subtly spiced brew.

Clear copper. Little head. Spices come off slightly soapy in the nose. There’s just nothing here that stands out to make it good.

Bottle courtesy pikapp327. Pours a dark amber orangish red color with a white type head. Aroma is pumpkin, ginger, and sweet Malts. Some spices with pumpkin flavorings and a sweet/spicy finish. Slight ginger.

Bottle from pikapp327. Orange pour with a white head. Aroma is pumpkin and a ton of fresh bread. Taste is still bready and pumpkin but with lots more spice.

Wow...89th percentile? Well, there’s certainly plenty of pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, but mostly cloves in the aroma. The flavor is better than the aroma up front. Definitely pumpkin-laden from the start to finish, just not my cup of tea. 4 oz. would be plenty.

Sample from bottle. Solid example of a pumpkin beer, with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and a nice pumpkin pie flavor overall. Not too overpowering or vegetably; just right. This should come in sixers rather than having to dig into the sampler pack!

2011 Batch with an expiration date of Feb 2012. What an attractive dark amber-pumpkin orange pour with a soft, silky lingering head and excited carbonation. The aroma is of moderate pumpkin, malts, and spices. The body is nice and full for the style. The clove and pepper are more evident in the taste than in the aroma and there’s a pleasing bitter bite at the end.

Slightly sweet aroma, with a touch of rich spices. Pours a clear reddish color, with just a dusting of head. The pumpkin is noticeable in the flavor, as is the spicing. The spicing is in the finish, and isn’t as overpowering as some pumpkin beers are. Light on the palate, with a lingering finish. Not bad, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

A gorgeous orange and tan color and delicious spices. While I did taste some pumpkin, it was mostly in the background. But those warm, delectable pumpkin pie spices were right up front. Cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, they’re all there. It was still refreshing and crisp, too. And even though it is heavily spiced, it is fantastically well balanced.

12 oz. bottle. Pour dark reddish orange with a small beige head. The aroma is unmistakable pumpkin pie, with notes of pumpkin, brown sugar and cinnamon. The flavor is very malty sweet with a little spicy burnt malts and very little hops. The palate is medium, a little grainy, and sticky. The finish is short and mildly bitter. Overall, this is another sam adams that matches the flavor gimmick. Fun, but not really a good beer.

Clear reddish orange pour with a thin off white head .... aroma is of pumpkin spices cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger and some earthy roasted qualities .... taste is a decent balance of pumpkin spices and earthy pumpkin with a slight roasted feel .... the mouthfeel is a bit watery and thin .... finishes with a spicy ginger kick and dry not bad
