12 ounce bottle opened 9/3/10. Pours a dark copper color with a thin fizzy tan head. Poor head retention and lacing. Pie spice aroma with pumpkin and a tart finish. The taste is pumpkin, pie spices, caramel. Light tartness in the finish. Medium bodied. nick76 (4399) - Tampa, Florida, USA - OCT 25, 2010
The aroma is full of roasted caramel malt, pumpkin, spice, and a touch of molasses. The appearance is deep amber with a clumpy head. The taste is like the aroma with a grain husk finish. The palate is typical for the style. Overall this is a decent beer but lacks that special something. Keg_Juggler (193) - New Jersey, USA - OCT 25, 2010
pleasant look and decent head, nose of pumpkin and spice, tasted fake to me thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 24, 2010
(12oz bottle best by January thanks to zdk9) clear rich copper, film of tan bubbles. Nose of banana, rum, cinnamon, caramel and pumpkin. Taste of rum, pumpkin, cinnamon, nicely sweet, and toasty caramel. Delicious linger. One of the very few pumpkin beers I could drink all evening. Had this alongside 14 other pumpkin beers and it was one of the 3 best of the entire evening. Quite surprising! Pwn3d (1962) - Manhattan, New York, USA - OCT 24, 2010
Bottle courtesy of Elyse during Alumni Weekend @ her place. Very impressive.. one my top nonimperial pumpkin ales. Caramel, malty base... spices aren’t over done which is the demise of many in the style.

A toned down pumpkin ale that isn’t half bad. A bit of pumpkin flavor over biscuit and caramel malts, with light pumpkin pie spices to go along with it. Very balanced in malt/pumpkin/spice really makes this a drinkable pumpkin ale. MaBeer1972 (2088) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 23, 2010
A very solid pumpkin brew. Not overly spicy like many others, but with a deep, sweet pumpkin and malt presence. Medium body, a very gorgeous amber color. This is the second bottle i had from the Autumn Sampler. Too bad they don’t put more inside the box. Please S.A., put this in six packs! iNBe (100) - USA - OCT 21, 2010
Never tried a pumpkin ale before, so I got this in a variety pack. A little sweet, but better than expected. RasterMaster (258) - , Oklahoma, USA - OCT 20, 2010
Orange-amber pour into thick orangish-tan head that quickly dissipates into a ring of foamy bubbles around the glass. Aroma of citrusy caramel and allspice. Initial flavor of malty pumpkin bread that fades into roasty yam-like finish as the pumpkin spice becomes more apparent. jport4087 (178) - Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 19, 2010
Nice amber color with a nice caramel taste from the roasted malts. Pumpkin spice is muted...which may be a good thing as some of the beers of this style completely overdo it.
