Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. It pours an amber brown color with a thick, light tan head. The nose is very nutty with lots of hazelnuts. The flavor follows suit with notes of bread and light caramel. Medium to full bodied with a dry but lasting finish. Decent brew.

Nutty, sweet medium bodied brown ale with sweet caramel toffee notes. Very easy drinking, flavorful ale that can be enjoyed on any occasion. Sam Adams Harvest Seasonal pack, never too early for Fall brews.

rougeau13 (3158) - Richmond, Texas, USA - AUG 7, 2012
Bottle from variety pack. Pours clear, dark, almost cola brown with a frothy, resilient, eggshell colored head. Aroma of hazelnut, toast, and hay. The taste is semi-sweet dominated by hazelnut, but also has a decent hop presence. Light-medium bodied and kind of fizzy. Overall a bit thin nearly across the board, and the flavor combination is little bit of a mess, but it’s still decent and very drinkable brown.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, thanks Jay! Dark reddish brown pour, aroma brought big vanilla, hazelnuts, some slight roast, caramel and biscuity malts, hints of earth and spice. Taste is a nice mix of caramel, vanilla, big, big sweet hazelnuts, some earth and spice, touch of bread, finishing fairly sweet. Interesting, lots of hazelnut.

A crimson-brown pour with a frothy, light tan head. The malty aroma has a lot of hazelnut along with some bread and toffee. It has a medium body with a slightly sticky texture and average carbonation. The taste is sweet, but not too sweet, and finishes mildly dry.
