This flavorful dark brown ale has a distinct hazelnut aroma and taste. Slightly sweet caramel and toffee malt notes accentuate the pleasant roasted hazelnut character. This medium-bodied brew finishes smooth with an underlying spiciness from the hops.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, thanks Jay! Dark reddish brown pour, aroma brought big vanilla, hazelnuts, some slight roast, caramel and biscuity malts, hints of earth and spice. Taste is a nice mix of caramel, vanilla, big, big sweet hazelnuts, some earth and spice, touch of bread, finishing fairly sweet. Interesting, lots of hazelnut.

Bottle from my girlfriends mom. Pours hazy brown with a white head. Nutty sweet and lightly roasted malts, with lighter toasted bready notes. Decent.

Bottle to pint. Looks solid; a transparent brown with light beige head that quickly dissipates into lacing. Smells of hazelnut.Tastes the same with a bit of hops. Average on the palate. Better than I expected.

11/6/12. 12oz bottle from Publix. Decent brown pour, plenty of red and definitely clear under the light, under a nice khaki head that cuts quickly but laces plenty with every sip. Huge nutty aroma with plenty of hazelnut and touches of caramel and chocolate. The flavor basically mimics the aroma’s prediction, showing a ton of nuttiness with lingering chocolate and caramel. This is perhaps a bit sweet and nutty for me, but overall it’s not bad.

Bottle. Poured clear deep amber brown with a large tan head that laces well. Aroma is caramel and bread, with light brown sugar and nutty notes. Flavor is medium sweet caramel-molasses, lightly spicy and nutty with a very light bitter earthy finish. Pretty good, for a brown ale...

Pours a deep brown .. mild foam, same with lacing .. light hazelnut mostly, some roasted nut and bark .. pleasing sweetness .. light mouthfeel .. . quite an impressive brown, although just a bit thin to be great.. . .

If you had three apples and four oranges in one hand and four apples and three oranges in other hand, what would you have ? ...

* Very large hands...

Had this 12oz bottle from one of those Sam Adams box-sets. Poured a creamy brown color with an off-white head. Aroma was pretty distinct hazelnuts with some nice roasted nutty character and some sweet toasted malts. Flavor was hazelnuts, with some toffee and caramel. Perhaps it is a bit artificial, but I enjoyed the brew enough I think.

Tallahassee, Fl - Publix Supermarket - Killearn - 12 oz bottle - part of the Fall Variety pack. Pours a dark copper with an initial bubbly off-white head that fades quickly. Aroma has some nice toffee accents, a hint of earthy potting soil. Flavor has some nice solid hazelnut notes, a hint of vanilla, a touch of Frangelico. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Fairly decent.

Bottle shared by my brother. Clear copper in color with a medium tan head. Aroma of hazelnut, malt and caramel. Malty flavor with hazelnut character throughout and a dry, roasty finish. Flavor was a bit more bland than I expected based on the nose, but overall a decent beer.

Draft at ebp. Pours a murky dark brown with a dense and sudsy light tan head. Lots of sheety lace. Big tangy nose of aluminum and overripe dates. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Flattish mid palate with butterscotch, aluminum, and overripe tree fruit. Tangy finish.
