Samuel Adams Hefeweizen has a traditional spin on a classic American craft brewing style. This crisp, fruity wheat ale is cloudy, because the yeast has not been filtered out. Bavarian Spalt hops give the ale a crisp elegance, that is not bitter and leaves a clean aftertaste. Cheers!

12 ounce bottle, poured a cloudy orange color. Aromas of wheat, some spicy Belgium yeast, and light orange. Flavor is the same, for a commercial brewery this wheat beer was fairly good, really like that it was unfiltered and had some nice sediment in the bottle.

hazy orange color, aroma of grain, orange, coriander, flavor wheat, orange, coriander, banana, nothing exciting

Not bad for a heff, but not my favorite. The unfiltered taste is interesting, and the additional orange flair is awesome. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tasted from bottle in Brewmaster’s Collection mix-pack into nucleated pint glass. Pours a cloudy golden color with creamy white foam, somewhat lasting with a little lace. Aromas of grass, grain, fresh whole-wheat bread, slight citrus, lemon and pepper esters. Flavors of subtle malt and hops and mild fruitiness. Light body and watery mouthfeel, crisp, dry finish. True-to-style hefeweizen but forgettable.

Pours a cloudy, light orange, with a small off white head. Aroma of wheat, banana, and lemons. A little thin with a lemony wheat flavor and a grassy finish.

The most neutral, boring Hefeweizen I have had. It is similar to the boston lager with a slight wheat aroma

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2012 Has the basic background, very background, of a hefeweizen, just not authentic and way too much like a regular American Wheat ale.
