COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams Hefeweizen has a traditional spin on a classic American craft brewing style. This crisp, fruity wheat ale is cloudy, because the yeast has not been filtered out. Bavarian Spalt hops give the ale a crisp elegance, that is not bitter and leaves a clean aftertaste. Cheers!

As far as a good beer goes, this one is fine. However, it doesn’t really make it as a hefeweizen. Appearance is there: cloudy amber with a white head. Aroma is very light...some citrus and yeast. High carbonation on the palate. Smooth and not very spicy. Some notes of citrus, but not much else. Very easy to drink.

Originally rated on 5/19/08. This hefe is a bit light on taste, not very falvorful, slight hints of wheat, some citrus, pretty plain overall. very middle of the pack for this style.

I’ve had worse beer, but I haven’t had worse beer like this one. Flavor is of over ripe malty (?) bananas that lingers heavily on the palate. Somwht bitter. Heavy, hard to get down. I bought a variety case of Samuel Adams at Sam’s Club and was cursed with 4 bottles of this. I drank one and used the other three to make banana bread. If you happen to be stuck with this beer, just use it as your liquid in banana bread, dump it down the drain or give it away.

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy orange golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have pale wheat malts, light spices, moderate citrus character; pretty basic middle to low Hefe.

Bouteille 12oz.

Another forgettable beer...light banana, citrus, spice...very little of the characteristic yeastiness that defines the style...Just OK

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with a medium white head. Wheat aroma with moderate malt and light caramel. Rather bland, mostly malt flavor with a touch of caramel. A touch of fruit and wheat in the finish.
