I’m pleading to the folks in Boston to make this one a year rounder. After all there are holidays like Memorial Day, 4th of July, and the list could go on and on. In other words we have holidays year round so why not the holiday porter year round. Nice roasted malt flavor with a hint of hops in the finish. elgavilancillo (89) - Long Beach, California, USA - NOV 28, 2008

Samuel Adams Holiday Porter is a very dark and dim red-brown ale with a frothy, splotchy, light brown head with excellent retention and lacing. It has a roasty chocolate and coffee aroma. In the mouth, it’s a fluffy, medium bodied beer with a dry finish. It has a simple, balanced, roasty flavor. I love beers like this.

Pours a dark black with a tan head that dissapates quickly leaving only a thin layer. Has a strong caramel and malty aroma. Very strong palate with a flavor of chocolate malt. I was very impressed with this beer. Nice lacing on the glass Billicus (291) - @RED BHUT JOIKIAS!, Paulsboro, New Jersey, USA - FEB 10, 2012
aroma, was malty robust toffee odor, color, dark amber beige head, taste was deep roasted malts, chocolate notes, on the backend the hops come on the tongue, overall, I like this Porter, its very filling, and only comes out in the Winter classics, wish was year round! andrewlol (63) - san antonio, Texas, USA - AUG 21, 2012
Had it on thanksgiving I believe. As I don’t really eat any thanksgiving food, i spent most of time with the holiday variety pack of sam adams and enjoyed my day. This one was the best beer of there and the best Sam Adams actually that I have tried. Just pure chocolate malty goodness I wish they made this available year round swiseman (502) - Fredericton, New Brunswick, CANADA - MAR 14, 2013
pours a thick black with a thin beige head (some light lacings on the glass). aromas of caramel, wheat and bubble gum. medium mouth-feel. some milk chocolate, roasted toffee, light molasses with subtle nuts and possible hint of woodsy spice. finish is quite strong with old molasses and fermented fruit peel and licorice. overall, very solid porter. generallee08 (772) - New York, USA - JUN 22, 2014
The body has a dark brown almost black appearance with deep crimson highlights when held up to light. Its has a stiff, creamy thick tan head on top that has very good retention and leaves lots of thick tan lacing on the glass. The aroma fills the nose with lots of roasted sweet malts. It has a wonderful full body that starts creamy and sweet on the palate. Quickly more roasted flavors take over with notes of burnt caramel and coffee. There is a quick flash of hop bitterness in the middle before the sweeter roasted flavors take over and fade off slowly into the finish. The texture is full and smooth on the tongue with soft carbonation.
