COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Often used to enhance body and flavor, the rye in this beer also adds a hint of spice that complements the citrusy, spicy hop notes. The addition of honey malt adds a deep amber color and touch of sweetness that softens the spice and rounds out the flavor, for a crisp, bright finish.

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2017 Bottle poured into a shaker glass. Copper color with an off white head. Aroma is honey, rye, very mild pine hops. Initial taste is lots of rye... LOTS of rye... and a hint of sweetness. Aftertaste is kind of bitter and earthy. Palate is medium with very lively carbonation. I'm not sure what I think of this. It's not awful, but not something I want more than one of.

This is a APA in the 2004 style where there is all kinds of sticky malts and resinous biting bitterness in the back end. It smells really nice and light w/ some honey floral tones and citrus but drinking it is just kind of a chore. If the back end of this were as crisp and light as it smelled, this would be a great, easy drinking beer. As it is, it doesn't have the hop nose to be a great IPA nor the drinkability to work as a less flavorful beer. Kind of the worst of all worlds in a way.

Nice and very malty. Easy to drink and good to enjoy. Aroma of honey and great golden features.

A nice refreshing yet darker flavor. Definitely get the honey. But thought it would be better with less but I guess that would delete the purpose of the name. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2017 Aroma is bread, yeast and hops. The appearance is clear a light auburn color with a off-white head that lingers and is lacy. The taste bright a little bit bitter from the Hops and a quick finish of honey but not overly sweet. There's definitely Rye in this beer the finish has that bitter rye bread flavor. There are notes of caramel and a spice i am not able to distinguish. Overall this is good, stronger hops than expected but a great showing.

Light amber-orange color with a short-lived head of offwhite foam. A little sweet from the honey, a little spice from the rye, with some herbal, citrus, and earthy hop character.

bottled - slightly hopped aroma. Decent balance of hops and sweetness from the honey. Not bad.

12 oz bottle from the Fall Variety Pack. It pours a beautiful rich reddish amber with just a light quickly receding white head. The aroma does bring out the rye, some spices, and just a hint of honey. The flavor again brings these three components along with a pleasant malty sweetness that nicely balances the light bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium, not much carbonations. The finish is hoppy with an echo of rye. Pleasant and quite drinkable.

12oz bottle. A pretty nice rye-honey beer, certainly not an APA. Leans into the sweet malts, but there is a light, pleasant hop balance too. Kind of fleshes out the honey malt tones, but the rye is still sort of drab. Probably tasted a whole lot better on the pilot system before they dumbed it down. Drinkable, but pretty much just another tick.

Clear golden amber pour with a creamy white head and solid lacing. Aroma of honey, rye, and spice. Honey sweetness upfront with some rye, tropical fruit, and spice.
