Bottled. A deep red beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt, berries, and metal. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, alcohol, bread, and malt, leading to a dry metallic and alcholic finish. The body is thick. Bottle at tasting, pours a cloudy orangey amber with a big beige head. Aroma of fudge upfront, caramel malts, toffee and candied fruits. Flavour of fudge, chocolate malt, toasted bread, caramel and dark fruits. Quite a thick palate with rich flavours. Very nice. Oakes (17685) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 29, 2009
Beautiful bright mahogany. Not much head. Syrupy and vaguely nutty aroma. Sweet and simplistic, with only hints of brown bread buried under a relatively caramelly body. Probably a bit too sticky for me. jtclockwork (16600) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 17, 2011
Bottle. Pours reddish amber. Off white head. Nose of caramel malt, candi sugar, grain, malted barley and alcohol. Taste is same. Smooth.
