Served cold out of a bottle. Wonderful color, golden orange with a white forming and lacing head. Wonderful smell of fruit and alcohol. Taste is that of banana to me. Great overall brew, wonderful Job Boston!!! swiseman (523) - Fredericton, New Brunswick, CANADA - AUG 6, 2010
dark amber - almost red. half inch, perfect head when poured out of the bottle. aromas of caramel and spice. medium-heavy body. lots of citrus, coriander and some caramel with a generous flavor of alcohol that comes through without overpowering the other flavors. thick and lasting lacings. Far from perfectly balanced, this is a big, bold beer considering the style. Well worth a try. SanfordBrewer (1641) - Sanford, Florida, USA - SEP 11, 2010
semi-opaque copper with a thin white head, full body with a fine medium carbonation.pauljackson1 (25) - Fairfax Station, Virginia, USA - MAR 3, 2009
aroma: rich orange, sweet.
taste: lots of orange, pale malt backbone.
a great complex sipping beer that is also quite drinkable, even sessional with food. almost too good and drinkable for being over 10%, if you believe in such a thing.
Very good belgian from a brewer that doesn’t stop reinventing itself. Nice to see a beer with such high gravity and obscure style mass marketed. Beer was sweet, and farly neutral with respect to the effect of the yeast. beernightscout (37) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 15, 2012
Pours dark tan, looks like a barleywine, not a witbeer; I was initially concerned I got a mislabeled bottle. But the aroma smells like a sweet wit, fruity and almost bubble gum. Taste is amazing, very sweet for a wit with a strong coconut flavor. If you told me this was a coconut beer, I’d believe you. Very thick, which I am looking for in these "imperial" versions of regular styles. Not hot at all, the alcohol is barely there. There is a bit of wit beer still in this beer, but I’m glad to see Sam Adams take this over the top and make something that defies classification. Though I am giving it the slightest deduction in points for not really tatsing like a wit...I loved it.

0,35 flaske på Liberty of the Seas: gikk nesten i dørken av begeistring. Som en god belgisk trippel og om mulig enda fyldigere. Kun for de som liker søte, sterke øl. Velbalansert. En sann nytelse i små slurker. OD40oz (774) - Box Elder, South Dakota, USA - MAR 26, 2009
Pours a nice copper orange with a nice foamy, off-white head. Aroma of citrus. Crisp, clean citrusy orange wheat taste with a nice clean finish. Damn good beer. gws57 (1276) - Saint Charles, Illinois, USA - APR 19, 2009
Found this one bottled at Binny’s in St. Charles, Illinois. Cloudy, dark orange pour with a medium tannish head that filmed nicely, very well balanced nose of grape and spice, bready malts, and citrusy hops, flavor has some banana, clover honey, cinnamon, raisin, orange, and a thick, oily mouthfeel. Not at all alcoholic, despite the potency. Very impressive. doublebock (558) - California, USA - MAY 8, 2009
golden orange color with minimal white head. spicy citrus aroma. High maltiness with complex floral arrangement- Coriander orange peel. Tastes like sam adams white but with much more of a syrupy kick.
