Pours orange. Nose is spivey orange desserts. Cinnamon, cloves, sweet light colored caramels. Flavor is again heavy spices and sweet sugary cooked citrus. Mouthfeel is smooth, heavily slick and spices lend tangy bitterness. I loved it. natesbeerz (6) - - MAR 26, 2013 does not count
Hazy golden color. Aroma is just like blue moon. Taste very similar to blue moon but a bit more spice. Not as fruity as blue moon but packs a heftier punch. Must drink cold. Flavor becomes significantly more alcoholic when warm. Darkmagus82 (2302) - - JUN 19, 2014

Poured from bottle into a snifter
Appearance – The beer has a hazy nice orange color with a thin white head. The head fades rather fast to leave only a small amount of lacing.
Smell – The aroma is of sweet bread and some nice orange citrus. There are good aromas of yeast as well as a nice boozy aroma which meld quite well with the rest of the aromas.
Taste – The taste starts out big and bready. There is a nice sweetness upfront which is mainly of orange citrus in nature. As the taste advances the citrus sweetness in enhanced with the bready flavor lightening a bit. The yeast flavor starts to build more toward the middle with some flavor of banana accompanying it. These flavors sweeten even more as the taste advances to the end where they are meet with an alcohol flavor that gives a slight burning/warming flavor on the mouth.
Mouthfeel – The body of this beer is on the creamier side with a carbonation level that is also on the higher side. The thick body suits the bready flavors well, while the carbonation complements the sweeter flavors well, with neither the body nor the carbonation really taking away from the beer.
Overall –While on the sweeter side, this is a nice flavorful imperial white. It is easy to drink and is at a good price. Sam does a wonderful job once again ad I would recommend this brew!!

12 oz bottle. Pour is reddish amber. Flavors is very cherry focused, not a typical soapy flavorless wit. Alcohol hidden very nicely. Good to see Sam Adams brew stuff like this, one of my top wits. mouse725 (83) - Albany, New York, USA - APR 5, 2009
12 ox bottle. Wasn’t sure what to expect from an imperial white, but I really enjoyed this beer! Definite orange, coriander and banana, with alcohol blended nicely in and maybe contributing to the sweetness. Bought another bottle the following week. Mmm! Serving note: think this does best from a tulip glass because of that great sweetness typically reserved for Belgian beers.

12oz bottle, 4pk. Pours a very deep golden orange. Very sticky appearance. Thick off- white head. Huge lace. Strong aroma of fruit, honey, some spice, and bubblegum. Lots of coriander in the nose, fruitiness. Flavor has a bit of vinous grape juice and a bit more coriander flavor to match the heavy aroma. Very thick textured, especially for a ’witbier’. Very strong and very thick bodied. Chewy texture. Very nice malt character, full and heavy. Heavily spiced. Bold and beautiful. This is a top notch beer from Sam Adams. dwyerpg (6231) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - MAY 6, 2009
A spicy fruity, maybe orange aroma, beautiful dark orange color. The flavor on this is quite nice, not a lot of wheat presence, but the alcohol dominates a bit too much. Pretty good, but not great. RSRIZZO (2000) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAY 20, 2009
Color is a burnt orange with mellow carbonation and a very thin tight tan head. Aroma of roasted caramel and alcohol. Taste is rich and citrus sweet. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a rich creamy feel. Finish jumps out sweet with some caramel then dried orange peel and ends with a yeast and coriander taste. In the after taste the sweet fruit hangs for just a moment with a hint of banana and a touch of alcohol. Wow this is a great brew, it has nice White essence along with bold Belgian notes. Poured from bottle. Vanilla aroma. Copper, tan head persists. Vanilla, cake, citrus, and pepper. Just a teeny hit of alcohol in flavor. Lacing. Great mouth feel, but a bit sticky. Finished well. Well done. BREWMUSKCLES (2698) - New Jersey, USA - AUG 26, 2009
IMPRESSIVE in its vegetable wheat aroma followed by an orange citrus like citron on a fruitcake perfume. aroma comes thru in the taste and i find it demonstrative and among the very best wheats i have ever tasted. looks great, substantive and slippery it is deep orange and pours like nectar with a nice white head. settles nicely into an aged like old ale yet remains a wheat and a wheat to be remembered. spices so recessed here just great brewing and recipe so apparent i could go on and on about this one...somewhat surprised and a must try!
