dark black/brown pour. Nose is slightly spicey, body is sweet caramel and some toffee malts, toasted bread.. malts that approaches being too sweet. Nice peaty earthiness and black peppercorns. Smooth mouthfeel and full bodied with light carbonation. Almost has a soda pop/cola taste, with more pepper on the finish.

Pours a dark red/brown. Aromas of dark roasted malt and fruity aroma(cherries?). Sweet, malty flavors with a hint of smoke. Finishes with a touch of hop bite.

I didn't take any extra notes when I tried this beer for the first time but I'm gonna try it again and update my comments. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle sweet nose and dark but not opaque pour. Slightly syrupy palate but not overpowering. Light on the peat but overall a decent beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle sample. 2012 bottle, thanks Alex F. Pours dark mahogany-brown with a stable beige head. Aroma of caramel, prunes, raisins and alcohol. Very sweet, dark and roasted malts, caramel, dried fruits, light smoky notes, very boozy. Rather full bodied, slightly syrupy. Very rich but heavy and alcoholic.
