Dark orange in color. A little citrusy hops in the aroma. Malt base is there but not outstanding. Nice mellow bitterness. ClarkVV (6710) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JUL 13, 2007

Probably not the same exact beer as listed here, and I’m betting this was brewed on the pilot system in Boston, but the abv being the same is enough cause for me not to enter yet another one-off in to our database.
Dark, copper-mahogany, almost like their new albion ale. What’s up with these dark copper IPAs? I think I like every subsequent one I have less and less. Beige head laces lightly, showing moderate retention. Clarity is medium-high.
Smells like dirty, catty, vegetal hops, DMS(light) and some soap, with meaty yeast and bready caramel. Very sugary in the nose. Can’t imagine this is what they intended. Weird hop aromas. The cascades I get, and are your basic citrus notes, though more bitterness than aroma. But the spalter and northern brewer hops dont work and the hallertauer I cant even find. Just earthy and weird. Either make a PNW IPA or not, don’t half-ass it.
Flavor still shows of crystal 60 malt, sort of iced tea-like and sugary, with a weird chewiness from the wheat and more vegetal and dirty notes. All in all, I dont think I finished my sample and was less than impressed. One of the worst samples I had at the fest, which is strange, as the Jamaica Plain pilot brewery usually kicks out some really nice stuff. Underattenuated body, medium carbonation, no alcohol noted.
all in all a pretty good ipa. a bit one dimensional as the hop profile (or malt whichever) could have been more complex and possibly become a great one. this brew is refreshing and easy to drink. it also is fairly well made which is probably the exact intention. short finish. Had this on tap at outback steakhouse. Pours a golden yellow color with a tinge of orange. Smells of hops, but much milder than most IPAs. Taste is hoppy, with pineapple, lemon and fresh cut grass. Very average/slightly below average IPA. Not offensive though. Just drinkable. faroeviking (10913) - FAROE ISLANDS - MAY 23, 2007
Bottle. Nice golden orange colour. Pours a big white head. Aroma is hoppy and fruity. The flavour is dry, hoppy and fruity with some citrus to it. The finish is hoppy spicy and long lasting. Another great beer from Boston Brewing. My thanks to the Snows for sharing many of these with them.

Thanks to Dennis Bell for this one.
This IPA was just okay for me. IPA’s are usually not my style but this one fella little short for me. Copper pour with grassy/ citrus smell. Wan’t really blended that well. It is no 90 IPA FROM DOG FISH. Anglofile (138) - Piti, GUAM - OCT 11, 2006
I like this beer. It could stand a little more bite though. It’s a little bland. Odeed (1803) - Bakersfield, California, USA - SEP 7, 2006
(on tap @ lengthwise brewery)nice clear orange body with a strong head.smells and tastes alot like juicy fruit gum.pretty nice for a sammy brew. fidemaster (322) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - AUG 19, 2006
It is not very hoppy, or have a strong citrus taste. However if you think of this as a tart, spicy, lager its not bad at all. waolsen (1376) - Littleton, Colorado, USA - AUG 12, 2006
bottle. copper pour with nice rising bubbles. thick creamy head. spices, hops, sugar and malt aroma. seemed spicy for an IPA, caramel, hops and orange.
