UPDATED: DEC 24, 2004 A nice amber beer with a small beige head. It has a fruity ale type aroma combined with notes of grass and hops. And a typical ale fruity flavor with a fine bitterness. Its not as bitter as other american IPAs - I like IPAs more bitter than this.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Deep golden, orangey beer with a dense head. A pleasure to the eye. Well hopped as all traditional IPAs with Fuggles and East Kent Goldings - classic English types. Bitterness is overwhelming to the point where this seems hard to drink. But the hops also adds beautiful aromas.

Amber. Sweet, hop dominated, rather malty, bitter. A little one-dimensional perhaps.

Hazy amber color, poor head. Strange aroma, of bread. Some malt, sharp bitter character. Not impressive.

Clear amber pour in the glass. Nose and taste of slight floral spruce, some citrus. Rated 6/8/02

CBC @Sam Adams-on tap-pours a rich light tan head and yellow/gold color. Aroma is herbal/pine hops, light/medium malt. Taste is herbal/pine hops, light/medium malt with some caramel.

while i agree it would be a very nice pale, its a different style. as an IPA, its so so, a little underwhelming. Nice floral, citrusy hoppy notes and flavor, just not quite enough of them."

UPDATED: APR 13, 2003 Bottled: This is my 2 IPA, and I kind of like them. The colour of the beer is like the sun on a summer evening half an hour before it sets. Light orange. The aroma is slightly hoppy but a little weak. The same goes for the flavour. A little hoppy, but too weak. I would have preffered if the aftertaste had lasted a little long. All in all a good beer, that i definately will give another try.

This beer rocks. The commercial description is accurate. However, I would like to add that this beer is pretty complex. Very interesting. Very well hopped with a very enjoyable and interesting undertone that I could not identify. Maybe one of the special malts. Jim does it again. A very very good IPA.

Me. Nothing amazing. Citrus hops comibine with some caramel malt and lead to the same flavor. Boring. But if this can educate the masses about a hoppier beer then cheers to SA.
