COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This rich and malty ale originated in Ireland in 1710. It has a deep red color and distinctive caramel flavor from its Pale and Caramel malts. The malt sweetness is balanced by the earthy notes of East Kent Goldings hops. Cheers!

Pours a lovely deep copper with a beige head. The smell is fantastic with a rich array of roasted malt, caramel and a hint of coffee. The taste was good but not as exciting as the smell led me to expect. While the malt and caramel is there, it falls a little flat. The finish a it thin and dry. Still quite nice overall.

Bottle in Seattle. Malty dark brown and a dissipating off white head. Sweet malty red nose, lots of syrup with a red fruity edge. Fruity red malts, a touch of tootsie roll. A bit empty, but with an ok bitterness. Fair.

Everything a basic red should have. Nice head that never ends. Nice grain with some husk flavors as expected. Sweet malty light burnt sugar. Nose is all the same. Enjoyable.

This beer looks beautiful on the glass, great brownish red color. Not much in the flavor department but goes down easy.

Samuel adams all have a very distinct flavor, and if ur a fan of that flavor, then you are bound to be a fan of most sams. This one is tasty and simple. pretty much what i expected. nice frothy head that lasts a while. malty and tart, good looking dark color. tartness lingers on the finish. Can’t really go wrong.

(12oz bottle) AROMA: sweet corn/malt, fruit/pineapple, tobacco. APPEARANCE: reddish Amber, textured brown foam, clear, good carbonation, nice looking beer. TASTE: rich malt, molasses, solid ale notes, coffee grounds, dark green grass. PALATE: medium body, crisp upfront, water-focused feeling, bitter. OVERALL: solid red ale, sweet (and a little sour) malt focus, but with a nice amount of hoppy bitter followthru, not overly heavy but filling.

Pours a finger of head on a clear dark straw body. Aroma is caramel and dark malt... but a little off. Taste is malty sweet, almost no bitter. Easy. Texture is smooth.
