12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with a lacing head. Slight sweet caramel malty aroma. Sweet and bitter slight harsh malty flavour. Different brew. Dry malty slight roasted and bitter finish. Label claims the use of hand-smoked malted barley? Not in my palate. Ungstrup (37581) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - NOV 4, 2006
A murky brown beer with a slight orange shine underneath a thin beige head. I understand why they drank their beer from mugs in the old days - this is not pretty. The aroma is sweet fruity and malty with a light note of herbs. The flavor is sweet herbal with some fruity notes - especially some citrus on the tongue, and only a light touch of smoke. The end is dry wheaty. I’m a bit disappointed. omhper (25113) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - DEC 19, 2007
Bottled. Lightly hazy amber. Rich cocoa aroma. Medium sweet with fairly clean mouthfeel and medium body. Caramel and toffee is there. Mild and malty. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 22, 2007
(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Pours a hazy, dark amber golden with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel and overripe fruit. Medium-bodied, again these notes of overripe fruit, a whiff of yeast and an edge of....sherry! The finish is dry with a very discreet bitterness. I doubt a German would recognize this as a Dunkelweizen. 180807 madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - APR 29, 2012

BBE Oct 06. Cloudy dark brown beer. Soft semi dry palate. Low carbonation. Smooth and very slightly sour chocolate. Dry finish. Not bad!
Dark wheat ale. Smoked barley and malt taste. Has a little edginess to it. Some earthy tones. Rated 8/1/08 MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JAN 16, 2008
Bottle. Buttery aroma. Very cloudy dark brown colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is fruity and quite malty. Not so wheaty, but quite aley. bhensonb (15191) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 2, 2006
Dark hazy color; lacks red tones. Head disappeared quickly. Aroma of dark malt, hint of smoke; don’t get the chocolate. Chocolate in the start, though. There’s a sour note in the middle, but it finishes malty with only a hint of bitter. Maybe that’s the rye. Swishing provides full body. Really good.
