Medium amber with nice head. Pleasant bitterness, but still smooth for an IPA. Juniper is not overpowering. Pretty good. scanny24 (7) - Florida, USA - JAN 30, 2014 does not count
Not a big IPA fan, so perhaps this rating is a bit biased. However, as IPAs go, this was actually my speed. Not too hoppy or bitter and the juniper flavor added a nice touch. All and all, as IPAs go, a decent beer. adnielsen (10605) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JAN 25, 2014
Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a burnt orange appearance with a cream colored head. Grapefruit / tangerine citrusy, mild caramel / toasted malty, kind of piney / herbal aroma. Chewy cracker / toasted malty, orange / tangerine, slight caramel, piney flavor. Fairly clean but not something I’d be inclined to drink again. Panzuriel (2199) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - JAN 24, 2014
Sam Adams juniper IPA is a height copper pour with a firm head of tiny white bubbles. This beer is true to the label with quite a bit of heady juniper in the nose backed by a touch of honey.taste is crisp and dry with a decent amount of bitters throughout. Body is lively as tiny bubbles persist through the swallow. A nice little IPA from Sam. 1guywith_aboat (254) - phenix city, Alabama, USA - JAN 20, 2014
Pours a golden hue. Very odd aroma. Taste is comfortable with a good balance. I like it.

Bottle. Poured a beautiful dark golden color. Clear. Medium head. Aroma of junipers, pine, floral citrus hop. Medium bitterness. Average carbonation. This is a tastey unique ipa. Well done again Sam Adams.

A- Hops, spruce, juniper, citrus.
A- Orange color, hazy liquid, white head.
T- Medium bitterness, mild citrus notes, piney.
P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slight bitter finish.
O- A quality IPA that I was unsure about going in to it. The citrus tones balance the hops well and provide a slightly sweet bitter taste to this IPA. jb (3224) - Rochester, New York, USA - JAN 18, 2014
Bottle from Ron. Not bad. Hits you in the nose like you just chewed on pine needles and released their nectar. Starts dry, mellows, then dries back out again. Interesting. belgis (521) - - JAN 18, 2014
I dont understand this combination. Juniper berries and IPA just sounds a good idea, but in reality what is left is bitterness that is longlasting and not refreshing more like annoying smell you cant get out. Not my style. EtTuCthulhu (1391) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - JAN 17, 2014
The appearance of this brew is a clear orange color with a medium white head that does fade at a medium pace, and the aroma blends resin and floral hops and juniper with a hint of diacetyl. The taste is quite bitter with a hint of sweetness, which is a bit too unbalanced to be truly enjoyable, and the palate fuses an average carbonation, .medium body, slick texture, and a bitter finish.
