Our new 2013 release features Mosaic hops, a new hop from the Pacific Northwest. They add a burst of citrus notes to the distinctive layers of German, English and other American hops, all from growing regions near the "hop belt" of the 48th Latitude. Cheers!

Given to me by a friend at my birthday party, enjoyed on a steamy mid-August work night. I think this is my favorite from the Deconstructed offerings I’ve had so far. Appearance is a darker gold with a thin white rim around the glass. Aroma is light and faint, nice light spice note, light malt. Taste goes down lightly crisp with an equally light bitterness, light pineapple / tropical fruit in the backend. Good stuff.

A nice gold color, not much head to it. A good scent but a bit light in taste and no aftertaste. It seems to have a little maltish taste, not much of an IPA taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pint at World of Beer Raleigh. Good aroma sweet. Fruity. Peach and Citrus. Clean brownish orange color. OK head and lace. Bittersweet flavor. Medium body. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Bitter sweet finish.nice. aroma best part for me. Nice fruit notes. Flavour less interesting. Fine ipa.

Pours a clear amber color with a small off white head. Aromas of citrus fruit and dirt. Taste is bitter and semi sweet. Flavors of some unripened citrus fruit, caramel, cardboard, soap. This is nowhere near other all-mosaic hopped beers I’ve had. In fact, this whole "deconstructed" series is pretty much garbage. Scroll past this dumpster juice.

From a bottle looks thick. Smells like IPA of course, but with volatile hydrocarbons. First taste is big rude happy bullshit. Viscous, mouth coating bitter pine tar nasty rude Nellie. There you have it.

Pours dark amber with a whitehead. Mild hoppy taste with a pineapple finish. In fact the sweet pineapple flavor stays with you as you breathe in. This is almost a dark shandy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a nice amber color with a massive off-white amber tinged head. The head has fantastic retention and last a very long time, with it eventually fading leaving a wonderful level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The smell is quite heavy of a tropical fruity nature with lots of mango. tangerine and papaya there. Along with the tropical fruits comes some lighter bready and caramel smells as well as a little bit of a floral and pine aroma. Overall the aroma is quite pleasant and smooth. Taste – The taste begins with a sweet caramel and bready flavor with a good deal of tangerine. Along with these flavors comes a little bit of a grapefruit hop upfront. As the flavor advances, more and amore breadiness comes to the tongue along with some other tropical fruit flavors of pineapple and mango. Other hop flavors of a floral and grassy nature also join the tongue, but with these remaining rather light. While the floral and grassy that join remain rather light, a pine hop taste which joins the taste at the end, actually gets somewhat stronger, and mixes with the sweeter and maltier flavors of the brew to leave a nice smoothly hopped, sweet, and malty flavor on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is above average in its thickness with a carbonation level that is average. The thicker body and average carbonation create a nice base for the mix of sweet and hop and create a rather easy drinking, malty, and sweet IPA. Overall – Quite a tasty IPA. About as good as the original latitude 48 (maybe just a touch below the original), While I am kind of partial to mosaic hops and would highly recommend this brew, it may not be quite as balanced as the original, but even said it is very easy drinking and delicious overall.
