3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Quite likely to take my best in show of this 48 deconstructed series from Sam Adams. Smooth and easy drinking. Pretty nice hoppy bitterness tagged by a solid maltiness. Just kind of a nice brew top to bottom.
pours a nice amber copper color with a two finger creamy white head. The aroma is earthy malts, slight citrus, and bready. Flavor is more of the same. oldrtybastrd (5003) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - APR 24, 2016

12 oz bottle at home from notes. Pours a slightly hazy deep orange amber color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor had caramel malt, biscuits, resiny, citrus, earthy hops, light spices hops, lighter bodied, mild bitterness, decent, more readily available ipa, I liked this better than most of the varieties. tricyclist (1125) - Florida, USA - JAN 12, 2015
For what it is, it’s a respectable IPA. It’s got a hoppy aroma but not overpowering. Malt presence for sure, aroma and flavor. Some resin and pine, earthy green. Medium malt with caramel and a fuller body, medium to full. Not a favorite, but not bad at all. BeerdedDave (1853) - Beckley, USA - DEC 29, 2014
slightly cloudy amber color; piney hop aroma; resiny, piney hop flavor on a medium bodied bready malt base with caramel notes

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is orange, pine, and herbs. Taste is pretty bitter. Significant amount of resin and pine are there. Lingering aftertaste. Pretty good. Strangebrewer (1334) - Chatham, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 18, 2014
bottle. Poured clear copper with a rocky off white head. Sweet malt aroma with floral hops. Medium body, butterery feel on the lips with a moderate dry finish. Toasty malt with herbal hops, pine and grapefruit notes. shrubber85 (11583) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - NOV 14, 2014
Bottle. Biscuit malt and grass/orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with large off-white head. Sweet biscuit malt and moderately bitter grass and grapefruit peel flavor. Nice body. Great hops. Patrickctenchi (6692) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - NOV 5, 2014
Clear copper with a tall, but quick, beige head.
Mild caramel, slightly woody aroma.
Taste is pine, resiny, peppery malt.
Earthy, woody bitter.....
Very tasty. Cornfield (5569) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - OCT 20, 2014
Carefully poured into my fancy Sam Adams glass (now, sadly shattered), this has a bright caramel body with a t5hick, dense, and sustained creamy head. It’s got an aroma of fir (no, not "fur") with a hint of grain. It tastes of pine, cereal, and a soft bitterness. The finish is dry and resinous. Not bad.
