3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear, red-amber with an off-white, 1/2 inch head that subsides into lace. The aroma is restrained but floral and with a touch of sweetness. Latitude 48 (a cool concept, too, I have to admit) is a medium-bodied brew of moderate bitterness (that manifests to my palate as grapefruit) and with a balancing touch of caramel. As it warms (my beginning temperature was 45 degrees F) one can perceive the fresh yeast. The finish is pleasingly but not overwhelmingly bitter. The liquor is floral and with a reserved character, more like a British IPA than an American IPA or an APA.
I agree with the overall rating for the beer, but find it humorous that it receives only a 50 in style points (probably because some think an IPA must knock you into tomorrow with hop bitterness). It need not, and the hops used in this beverage is subtle and floral. A well-priced beer that might strike those expecting a hop wallop to be a pale ale. Well-made beer however you slice it.
Pours a large frothy light brownish head that gives off thick dirty lacing. Has a clean amber appearance. Aromas of citrus and floral hops. Flavours are pretty bitter, spiced citrus hops, oranges and coriander. Notes of sweet malts such as toffee and light caramel. Medium bodied. Lively carbonation. mild warming sensation. Tingling mouthfeel. Bitter aftertaste, not offensive. Not too bad, but nothing special. jenznett (198) - GERMANY - JAN 30, 2017
Flasche von Globus. Wunderbarer Beerenduft. Trüb Braunes Bier mit viel Schwebstoffen. Fester Schaum. Im Antrunk starke Malz- und Brotnote. Mittlere Bitterkeit.
355ml bottle. Clear copper with a nice off-white head. Caramel, citrus, herbal and fruity aroma. Average carbonation and medium body. Taste is bitter with caramel and fruity notes. Overall, quite drinkable. ClaudeB04 (407) - Dudelange, LUXEMBOURG - JUL 27, 2016
Bottle at Crossfire. Nice amber colour white head.
Hoppy nose, grapes taste.
The bitter finish was a nice companion to the "diablo" burger I was enjoying.

Flaska från Quickly i Danmark. Bärnstensfärgad med vitt skum. Dov fruktig doft med bra maltsötma. Gräddig känsla med trevlig fruktighet. JPDIPSO (6261) - Wauwatosa, USA - JUL 20, 2016
Clear copper color with a full, ecru colored head. Nice lace. Green hops aromas dominate. Hints of fresh herbs and lightly caramelized malts in the background. Flavors are quite dry. Dry white toast comes to mind. Mild bitterness with a some grapefruit zest and pith. Not much depth to this one. Rather linear. Last bottle of the six pack and it seems that I’ve been less excited about trying each successive one. 7/10

UPDATED: JUL 15, 2016 Flaske. Rav farvet med en flot hvid skum krone og en krydret-humlet duft.
Aroma: Frugt og humle.
Smag: Masser af humle, citrus-frugter og bitterhed i eftersmagen.
En vel afbalanceret IPA. Michael27 (2294) - Berlin, GERMANY - MAY 21, 2016
Aus der Flasche getrunken. Dunkles Bernstein mit weißem Schaum im Glas. Riecht fruchtig säuerlich (Lagerungsfehler?). Fruchtig-tannig im Antrunk. Hinten raus leichte Bittre.
